I purchased my RX-8 used with 70,000 miles on it. I was excited to find one with such low mileage because they are notorious for blowing up. I haven't had any performance issues with the car thankfully, but there are plenty of other issues. I would not recommend this car to a friend.
Story
I did my first 360 on accident in the middle of town in the rain.
Pros
Some obvious pros are cost. It is on the cheaper side for a sports car, and the overall look is nice. It has plenty of power and is fun to drive. It's very comfortable and doesn't hurt my back after long drives.
Cons
So many cons. First off... the motor is known for not surviving past 100,000 miles. Some people report getting 140,000 before it died, but it dies. My RX-8 has 80,000 miles right now, and the compression is already getting low. The car will not restart if I let it die at a red light or turn it off and try to turn it back on. It only uses premium gas, and even though gas is cheap right now it is pretty pricey considering I only get about 14 mpg in town. The back seat only has 2 seats, the middle console extends into the back and takes up the middle seat. Since I only have 3 passenger... (more)

The RX-8 is the best car I've ever owned. It rides smooth as glass down the road and has the best handling I've ever experienced. The seats hug your body and the Bose sound system (stock) is great! Very fast, very sleek and looks great. Seats four (suicide doors are fun) and, surprisingly, there is plenty of room in the back seat. I would highly recommend this car to anyone and everyone.
Story
I once had to zip home to Phoenix from Las Vegas to get ready for a trip out that evening. I left at 7:30 pm, and my wife told me to call her when I got to Phoenix. On the way out of Vegas, I came up behind a Lamborghini with Arizona plates, and he took off down the freeway. I figured "what the heck" and began to pace him. Now, if he had gone top speed, there was no way I would've kept up, but... (more)
Pros
Smooth ride. High power (Redlines at 9,000 RPM). Fast. Sleek appearance. Great stock sound system. Interior is beautiful and comfortable.
Cons
Gas mileage isn't the best. 28 MPG hwy/21MPG street. But for a sports car, that's about average, so nothing out of my expectations.
