I picked this car in particular because of the rounder appearance, I really don't like square vehicles. I liked the white color, it has little white sparkles in it so it has a classy look. I also like sleek headlights and tail lights as well as the sunroof. We looked at several crossovers and this was by far our favorite. It has three rows of seating which is a must because we travel often. The seats are big enough for two car seats in the middle row and room for someone to sit comfortably in between. The seats are very comfortable especially on long road trips. I also like the leather interior and tan color. One of the few bad things is that when the third row of seats is up the trunk really doesn't have a lot of room. Its enough for a day trip but if we had to fit more than three med... (more)
Story
I have made several road trips in the past few years and at the beginning of the year I made a trip from California to Texas. I've made this trip and back several times but this was the first time in the Mazda. It was really great because I had a lot of room for my son to be comfortable and put all the stuff we were moving with. I drove it with my best friend and we had a good time. The radio ... (more)
Pros
I love the blind spot monitor, with driving a bigger vehicle than I'm used to it's nice to know that I don't have to second guess myself with the blind spots. I love the tinted windows as well, it helps with the heat in the car on hot days. The car has a key less entry and key less start which is really convenient. All I have to do is push a button on the outside of the car and as long as the key is near the car it unlocks. When inside the car there is a small knob to turn and as long as the keys are in the car it will start. I like that the hatchback is motorized so it will open when I pu... (more)
Cons
One of the worst things about this car is the gas mileage, for us it is around 19 miles a gallon so we are paying quite a bit more for gas than we are used to but that is to be expected with a bigger car. The blind spot monitor only works when you are going faster than 15 MPH so if you are in slow traffic you have to rely on your own vision and hope no one is in your blind spot. Mentioning blind spots, there is a pretty good sized one on this vehicle which is difficult to get used to but as I said before the monitor helps as long as I'm traveling fast enough. The navigation system only wor... (more)
