For a 4 cylinder car it has great pick up speed when you put your foot on the accelerator. As a hatchback design, it has lots of flexible storage space for larger/longer items. I have driven the car for almost 8 years and put 47,000 miles on it. It's a superb car for general shopping and to and from work driving with a sporty feel at a lower price.
Story
Driving to Las Vegas with friends with the windows down playing the Oceans Eleven soundtrack with the windows open just as you come over the hill and see the strip, no traffic in front of us, just all of us in the car and Vegas in front.
Pros
The interior has a modern feel with basic accouterments like 5 disc CD player and an auxiliary port built into the center console for hooking up your phone for music. There is a hole that allows you to run the aux cable through to the center cup holders so. Gas mileage is good, as long as you are not in complete stop and go traffic, expect 26-28 mpg in mixed driving, and up to 30 mpg for full highway. As to keep the cables out of the way.
Cons
Gas mileage drops to about 21 mpg for full stop and go traffic. There do appear to be some electrical issues with sensors in the car as I had to get thermostat sensors replaced twice in 8 years.

I do love my Speed3. The color black was more boring that I would have liked. The tires that came stock are a poor choice, and I had to swap them out. I do like the handling, and feel the gears shift well (Unlike other cars I had looked at). The tech package was a nice add on, and I do enjoy having the built in GPS.
Story
Right after getting my car, I pulled up beside someone with a speed3. We raced, and a road that ended pretty quickly. I did blow him out of the water, but I think he was worried about running off the road. It was a pretty fun time.
Pros
Speed! Don't get me wrong, I would love a few extra HP, but for what it is, and the price I paid for it, I won't complain.
Cons
It's very basic looking. It could use some more curves and interesting materiel's on the inside.

2008 Mazda MX-3 - Sporty with a lot of leg room. Very visually appealing. Comes stock with what looks like altezza heat lights. Has not broke down in 5 years. Great gas mileage

First appearance was everything when I bought the car. I was at a Chevy dealer and they were pretty upset that I thought the Mazda was the best looking car on the lot. Test drive confirmed how much I was going to enjoy the vehicle years to come. Acceleration was great and handling was amazing. I could make a U turn from one side of a narrow road to the other without having to reverse the vehicle. The interior was very high end and the dash board catches the eye with it's cool blue glow. I have no regrets after 5 years of owning the vehicle.
Pros
Sporty with a lot of leg room in the front seats. Very visually appealing. Comes stock with what looks like altezza head lights. Has not broke down in 5 years. Great gas mileage. Dashboard controls glow blue and gives it a very nice look at night time. GREAT handling I can turn on a dime. Very good acceleration especially with the sport model. General feel of being very safe in the vehicle
Cons
Very little leg room in the back seats of the car. Ride is very firm. Trunk is kind of small.
