The Mercury Sable feels like a safe car on the road. With its strong metal frame and long body, I feel as though I run a lower risk on being hurt should I be involved in a car crash. The mileage is also fantastic, while the actual tank is small the car itself doesn't use up a ton of gas. I definitely would recommend it, especially for new or young drivers. The car has great visibility, so it would put a new driver at ease. Not to mention that it's a sturdy car, so it performs well on rainy, windy days.
Story
It was always fun to cruise down the parkway with friends in this car. It's easy to see out of -- whether you're in the back or front, so you can always get a great view.
Pros
It definitely has a safe feeling to it, and the car handles well. Both the brake and pedal are responsive, without ever feeling a bit too touchy. The car also takes turns well. It doesn't ever feel like it's about to spin out or topple and is pretty great when driving in storms. Additionally, the trunk for a Mercury Sable is rather deep, which is great if you have to move around. The windows are also nice and wide, so there are very little blind spots.
Cons
It does not have issues with suddenly accelerating, but it is just tad slower to pick up speed than other cars. The Mercury Sable also feels a bit low to the ground compared to other cars. However, within the car, everything feels like balanced height and distance from the wheel, pedals, roof, and dashboard.

2001 Mercury Sable - The car is built exceptionally well, which makes me feel secure. The interior is a mixture of leather and cloth. It looks stylish and has smooth lines. With over 100,000 miles, the ride is smooth and everything is in tip-top shape.

This car is an excellent value and built to last. The exterior is built exceptionally well, with heavy doors. Although the car has over 100,000 miles, it is hard to tell from the way in which it handles and the overall interior systems. Everything is fully functional and is easily accessible. Some cars are hard to get accustomed to and do not have the general controls easily usable. This car isn't one of those. Everything works beautifully and is visually pleasing. The trunk is roomy, which is great for hauling multiple items.
Story
My son said that he felt the car was worth $100,000.
Pros
The spacious interior is fantastic and great for a growing family. The interior upholstery is hardy and durable, which is also great for a family vehicle. The air conditioner nearly freezes you on a hot summer day and the sound system is amazing.
Cons
There are no cup holders in this vehicle, which is both odd and becomes a hardship on a long trip.
