The paint job is high quality (in a beautiful deep metallic grey). The stock rims were almost gunmetal in appearance and went very well with the vehicle. Every time you accelerate, even with an automatic transmission, you can feel the strength of the 306 HP engine! On top of being sleek and beautiful, it could beat most cars on the road, especially the Mustang and Camaro boys who have no idea what is under their own hoods. That year's model had a nice little hood scoop that the other years did not, which made it slightly unique among other models on the road. The "Z" branding on the steering wheel and the roll bar made the car feel like "more than just a Nissan." The sound system was fantastic, which was the base model's Bose speakers — no aftermarket upgrades. My only complaints would... (more)
Story
Obliterating vehicles on the road who think they're fast and try to race me, trying for personal 0-60 records. Driving from Maryland to Texas on a speedy, solo road trip with lots of good tunes.
Pros
Appearance: Beautiful, compact, sleek, sporty, amazing paint job, and high-quality stock rims. Performance: 306hp powerhouse, amazing torque, stable ride (hugs the road), reactive steering, and rear-wheel drive. Interior: Z branding on seats, steering wheel, roll/stabilizer bar, high quality speakers, and powerful cooling/heating.
Cons
Would have preferred a manual. RWD creates some challenges in particular climates or road conditions. The gas pedal could "catch" on occasion, forcing the drive to press a little harder to get reaction. Lots of scratches on interior paneling, limited space, and bare minimum technology in car for its time.

I bought this car three years ago and cant not be any happier. The car has very good handling and is pretty good on gas. I drive it about 20 miles a day and use it for my normal driving around. It is not really good in the winter but I love my car so much. I have only had to take it in the shop for one problem. It was some rattling but when it was found out what it was it was only that some mouse had gotten in a made a nest. They were able to deal with it and have not had any problems. Since. I average about 22 mpg. I love that it is a small car since I am a small girl. I have had a cold intake installed and I feel that it drives better now then when I first got it. It does cost a little more to have it serviced but I am willing to pay it because I have such a reliable car.
