Nissan Altima Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2011 Nissan Altima - Best car I have ever owned.
I bought my vehicle used in 2013. It was previously a rental car, so I assumed it would have some issues. I never had one issue with this vehicle. Nissan is a great brand. The car is well made. Everything from the interior to the exterior. It has great air conditioning, and the speakers in the car will blow your ear drums out. They work great. I really enjoy the interior color of the vehicle. It is a charcoal grey, and it is made very well. The seats are very easy to clean. The back seat has plenty of leg room. Enough room to fit three full grown adults. I love the electric windows and mirrors. I enjoy that it has a keyless entry and a keyless start. It has a safety feature on the trunk, so I will never be able to accidentally lock my keys in the trunk. It will not close if the keys ar... (more)
Story
We have taken many family trips to the drive-in theatre. It is nice and cozy, and the speakers work great to listen to the movie. It's nice and comfortable to cuddle up with the family in our car and watch a movie. Plenty of room for food, drinks, and blankets.
Pros
Keyless entry and push button start. I never have to worry about getting out my keys. 2.5 liter engine is great. I can pick up speed at a reasonable rate. The leg room in the backseat is perfect for an adult and a full-size car seat. The material of the seats are great. They seem to be stain resistant which is nice.
Cons
It doesn't have a reverse camera. It would be nice to see the blind spots behind me. The hubcaps on it are cheaply made. They are losing their color and starting to chip/crack. Warning lights typically come on for no reason and stay on when I fix the issue such as low tire pressure and the emergency break light.
2016 Nissan Altima - Excellent Vehicle for Price
This is an amazing car and I'm so happy that I purchased it. I previously had a 2012 Nissan Altima and loved it. When I went to purchase a new car, I compared the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and the Altima 2.5 S again in a 2016 model. I ultimately decided on the Nissan again for several reasons. They have unbeatable reliability and fuel economy. This car gets better gas mileage than the Accord. I never once had a problem with the 2012 Altima mechanically, and I anticipate the same with this car. It has improvements such as redesigned interior, better fabric, prettier leather trim inside, and electronic Bluetooth pairing for your phone and a backup camera. I'm very pleased with this car and there is room for my family of four and all our apparatus to fit in it.
Story
This car was used for a fun road trip for my family through Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. We used it to visit mountains in Maryland and drive through the hills. Very fun.
Pros
The car has a lot of room in the back where the children sit. It also is a very safe car which rides smooth with a lot of power. I'm very pleased with the overall design, quality, and feel of this vehicle.
Cons
I would say that there is not much negative about this vehicle that I can think of. I don't like the way the horn sounds. I wish they had a manual key option because I don't like the push start, although I know most people probably like that. I've locked my keys in the house before, though, and it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't had a push start vehicle.
2008 Nissan Altima -
Overall I would recommend my 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 to anyone. For the size of the engine it is surprisingly quick. It handles well and has good lines. I especially like the availability for aftermarket parts for repairs due to the popularity of this car. It is, however, disappointing that so many people drive them. I can't drive to work without seeing at least 3 more Altimas. Overall, I do enjoy driving this vehicle most of the time. This car is resilient, the car had rear end damage before it came to me and has held up surprisingly well. The paint has not faded in the sun since I have to store it outdoors.
Story
Taking my children to the beach in my car on weekends this past summer has been very memorable.
Pros
I would say the best things about this vehicle are the style, affordability, fuel economy and automatic transmission. The best features include the keyless ignition and paint.
Cons
I do not like the coupe version and realized I should have gotten the sedan as it is difficult to get my children in and out of the backseat. The interior could be higher quality material. The dash board has cracked and become sticky and needs to go to the dealer for repairs, the same has happened to several other people I have known with this same vehicle.
