Overall, I've generally been happy with the car. We've had it for, I believe, 50,000 miles at this point? For its size, it's surprisingly spacious. When we only had one kid, the three of us fit in comfortably with lots of spare room. I haven't yet had any issues with what's under the hood, which has been nice. And the gas mileage is pretty solid. It's a small tank of 13 gallons or so, but all of my jobs in the last six years have involved roughly 50-mile round trips each day, and I typically only have to top it off once a week. However, I've worked a lot in Baltimore, and this thing was not fun to ride over cobblestone streets. Speed bumps that are slightly bigger than normal can cause pain if approached too quickly. The other thing that Maryland weather has revealed about this c... (more)
Story
This thing is lots of fun to drive on the backroads of upper Baltimore and Harford County...I once passed a biker while cresting a hill and managed to cut back over before an oncoming MINI Cooper hit me while going 40 mph. It's so nimble; I wasn't even scared.
Pros
Mileage. Maintenance has been easy. Lots of room for two–four adults or a family of three on a weekend trip.
Cons
Lack of mud flaps rusted exhaust. Tricky to drive in the wind. Suspension leaves much to be desired.

2009 Nissan cube - I truly love my little car.

We use our 2009 Nissan Cube as a family car. It has served us very well over the last few years with very few problems. Although a small car, the head room is great. With being small, the gas mileage is also great. The car is very easy to drive and to park. Wondering if you will fit into a spot, is never a problem. My children comfortably fit in the back seat with their two car seats. The Nissan Cube is stylish and unique. The windshield sits very upright which makes for a nice, wide view of the road. However, with the upright windshield comes more cracks and damage as rocks and debris do not roll upwards as with slanted windshields. Overall, there are very few complaints about our Nissan Cube.
Story
We have many great memories in this car. Lots of road trips and trips to the beach. The stock stereo system is great, so music rides are always fun!
Pros
My favorite thing about the Nissan Cube is the ease of driving. The gas mileage is definitely another perk.
Cons
Top negative thing about the Nissan Cube has to be the upright windshield needing replacement/repair often. Also, the low profile tires seem to need to be replaced more than traditional tires. The ability to visually see that a tire is low is also more difficult.
