The 2014 Versa Note SL has served my family well in the three years we've owned it. It's great for the typical commute to work, errands, or the like, but it also holds up well on longer trips. Because of the hatchback design, it feels roomier than you'd expect for a compact/economy vehicle. With mixed highway and city driving, we tend to go between 300 and 400 miles before exhausting its 10-gallon tank of gas, which is more than competitive with previous economy cars I've owned and solidly beats our larger second vehicle. We live in an area that gets a wide variety of weather, be it snow, ice, or rain, sometimes very heavy—the traction control has always kept us moving safely, even when things get rough out there.
Story
We once went to visit a doctor in a rural town, and ended up parking next to an identical vehicle: same make, model, and color! I guess country doctors recommend the Note too!
Pros
Excellent handling and turn radius. Hatchback design. Heated seats. Good fuel economy. Onboard GPS. USB charging ports.
Cons
Hatch/trunk space is a bit cramped for your typical grocery run, particularly if you keep an emergency kit, gas can, etc. back there. Seatbelt arrangement is confusing to passengers and belts can easily get caught when adjusting cargo space.
