Buff Whelan Chevrolet Inc Sterling Heights
2001 Pontiac 1692
The salesman I worked with was friendly, patient, and really helpful. He asked many good questions that helped him narrow down what used car would work well for me. I also liked that he stayed within my budget.

My family has bought three cars from Buff Whelan, and I believe that speaks volumes about the quality of their service.

You need a car here, the busses are crap. Avoid the main roads during rush hour, dear God especially Hall road because it's dangerous and ridiculous. Beware of cops on a speed trap that starts when Utica hits Moravian and goes from 45 mph to 35 mph.
I really don't know much about that. We're a Chrysler family so we go to the dealerships to get cars, and the one I got my car at is Sterling Auto on VanDyke. I'd say stick north of thirteen mile if you want a reputable place, but always beware of too good a deal.
One of my favorite memories from driving in Sterling Heights is when I found out that an old friend of mine, Tara, had moved from Roseville to Sterling Heights. I had only previously moved to Sterling Heights and didn't have any friends there, so when I found out that she went to the same high school as me, I was ecstatic. I drove to her house, a ten-minute trip down Utica, and waited in front of her house so she would come out. When we were both in the car I drove back down Utica for another twenty minutes so we could meet up with our childhood mutual friend, John. On that drive down Utica it was a straight shot and we talked and caught up for the entire drive. I think it's such a good memory for me because I knew I had finally found a friend in this new town.
Utica. It connects Sterling Heights to Fraser, Shelby Township, Warren, and Roseville, possibly even more. It's a long road and it's 45 mph for the most part so I can coast without having to worry about switching speeds all the time. I think I like it mostly because all my friends were close to Utica so going on that road meant seeing people I cared about.

Watch out for people who don't know exactly what they're doing; we are close to a Canadian border and their driving rules are slightly different, so you'll see people confused. Don't tailgate anyone because they can stop quickly. We also have many new businesses, so people are stopping often to see what's new.
It's best to go closer to Sterling Heights where there are more dealerships and you're more likely to find competitive rates. It's good to start on Auto Trader and to find where you'll want to shop.
I enjoy driving around and looking at the decorations around Christmas time. Many businesses and homes decorate for the season and it's beautiful and festive. My daughter and I drive around often and look at the lights.
M-25. It's not particularly scenic, but the majority of the businesses are on this road, so it's the one we travel most and it's where everything fun is located. It's also the main way to get anywhere in town.
