We've had the vehicle for about a year and so far haven't found anything to dislike about it, except perhaps the strange cupholders and lack of cupholders in the back for the kids. We have three children, and all three fit in it perfectly comfortable including the toddler in her car seat. It gets great gas mileage - my husband and I drove it to Canada and back and the ride was great. It's easy to clean, which is great for a family like ours with three kids. We've also let my mother in law drive it and ride in it - she is handicapped and so has difficulty with many vehicles but the Equinox was very comfortable for her and easy for her to get in and out of it. Over all I would say this is the best vehicle we've owned hands down, and would certainly either trade up for another Equinox or go back to Chevrolet, because the reliability, comfort and gas economy are well worth the money.

Will absolutely purchase this same make of car again.
Before purchasing our new car, I had a list of must have, and nice to have. At first viewing and test driving of this vehicle had to force myself to at least at other options. I came back immediately. My first must have was excellent leg room, front and back. This car has more that ample leg room. Next was room for coffee and beverages, wow two between seats, more space in both front doors for water. Back the same pull down beverage holders, water in door. Very large storage in back, and very easy to enlarge with fold down seats. No knocks, or what was that noise. Great mileage, car is easy to handle and has speed pick up on the road. Cruise and radio controls are within easy reach, and comes equipped with blue tooth and on star. Safety and entertainment!!! We have put 120, 000 miles on this car. I feel safe in this car, one accident with a deer, and one on icy roads (other driver's fault) and no injuries. Large enough make me feel safe, hold whatever I need, and small enough to park with ease. I love this car!!!

Happy but could be happier.
The Chevy Equinox I purchased was a used 2009. I got the SUB thinking it would be big enough for my family and not being a minivan. It holds all 5 of us easily and my kids aren't crammed into the back. Shortly after buying the car the u-joint broke in the drive train. Luckily it still had the warranty from the original purchase so that didn't cost me anything. Other than that issue the car has held up to everyday driving. Also the trunk is huge, especially when you put. The backseat down. I've been able to haul large appliances in the trunk. Gas mileage is ok but could be better. I average 20 miles to a gallon which is just shy of 350 miles or tank. Overall it's a good care but could be better.
