Our 2003 Chevy Silverado is a great vehicle. It might have some rust on it which we just call beauty marks. It has done everything we need it to do. The interior is in mint condition, but like I said the exterior has some rust spots. It drives great and can pretty much pull anything behind it. The paint could use some touching up but it isn't bubbling or anything.
Story
My husband and I took it up to the Upper Peninsula and was able to go down trails and not be worried we weren't going to be able to make it out.
Pros
It's a pickup so it has a bed for storage and makes transporting things easily accessible. It's a crew cab so there is plenty of room in it. We have a baby seat in the back, and the front seats don't even have to move forward to accompany the car seat. It's very durable, this truck we can count on to get us through anything. It sits a lot higher than a car so the visibility is much better.
Cons
Mileage isn't the greatest. Since it's a 1500HD, it only gets around average of 17 MPG. It's really heavy so in the sand we will just sink rather than be able to drive out of it. The turning radius is very poor. To go to the mall or restaurant in this truck it's so hard to park in just a normal spot. You also feel every bump in the truck while driving.

When I first Seen the truck, I have to admit, that I was extremely impressed by the exterior design of it overall. The color (a beige tone) just seemed to fit and go along with the size and type of tires, the chrome 18" rims, the chrome grill, running boards and even the lift package of the truck. I was definitely surprised by how QUIET it was, being a diesel and how smooth it drove. Completely unlike any other diesel truck out there at that time. I loved that truck more than any vehicle I've ever owned.
Story
Was visiting family in Nebraska and drove on the roads thru their cornfields when the snow just Dumped down, turning everything into a sloppy mess of mud. This truck not only got us thru some extremely deep mud ruts but still looked awesome after getting dirty.
Pros
I admit, when I first drove it, I knew nothing about diesel engines or Alison transmissions; but I have to say after owning it, I would definitely purchase another with similar specs. The interior was clean from the carpet to the dashboard, in design. It was spacious enough for my family, durable enough for the terrain, powerful enough for work and sleek enough to look amazing.
Cons
Unfortunately, maintenance on this truck was just expensive; which was a downfall. From the frame always needing parts replaced nearly every two months to the electrical system; ex: dashboard lights going in and out, cd player not playing cd's or just not releasing them and having to get alignments far too often because of the differentials losing oil due to bearings going out. Was just far too expensive to keep.

Love this truck! Its great for work play and anything else you can think of. Off-roading, highway, or anywhere you want to go, the Silverado will take you there it style. Roomy interior fits the whole family, including car seats! All of the bells and whistles too, like separate cabin temperature control, retractable mirrors, and adjustable drivers side seat memory. Chevy really sticks to it reputation to make a dependable vehicle with this truck.
Story
Taking it off roading on the beach with the kids! They loved the dunes and making the sand fly!
Pros
Big enough for the whole family, will last for a long time, 4wd, Z71 off road package. wide verity of styles, colors and body types available. Roomy bed too! Lots of power for freeway driving or off roading with this one.
Cons
It has bad gas mileage and is very expensive to buy.
