My truck is a 1998 and has only 83,000 miles on it. It has never let me down and has provided some great fun for me. For this reason I would not trade this truck for anything. The memories made in it are also excellent.
Story
I took my truck offroading in a place that my girlfriend told me about for the fun of it. We did not know if the truck would make it through the tough terrain, but it did and as a result we got an amazing sunset view.
Pros
It is reliable and great off road. I have taken this truck through some rough trails to go hunting and adventuring, and I am certain that most other vehicles would not have made it through what my truck did. It also has great power and torque and tows great. It is modern enough to have power windows and comfy seats, yet old enough to look the part. The paint still shines after all these years, which is great to me. While it has had some things go wrong over the years, that is to be expected. It has never left me entirely stranded in a situation, which is exactly what I can ask for from the... (more)
Cons
One drawback of the truck is the gas mileage. I do not get more than 15 miles per gallon most times, which can be quite expensive when I need to drive often. The fact that it does not get good gas mileage is honestly the only con to my truck that I can think of.

The older the Chevy, the better. Chevrolet in general is known for it's good quality and craftsmanship! I have a 1989 1500 series Truck and these cars fire up right away. You can put mile after mile on them and they still run good. If there is a problem it's a lot easier to fix yourself or to find someone instead of the newer cars being all computerized. This Truck may look old and have its flaws because it is over 25 years old, but will you be able to say that about your new plastic cheaply made car in 20 some years ?
Story
The first day I bought it I was driving home and got pulled over by the most beautiful police officer I've ever seen she was gorgeous I wanted to be arrested lol. Anyways come to find out she lived down the street an we were neighbors etc so she let me go but that's all I can really think of.
Pros
Good quality construction. Made of metal and steel, where new cars are carbon fiber or cheap, easily destroyed material. It's easier and cheaper to fix than modern cars. Quite fast. Big engine. Good for hauling or towing things. Decent on gas for being as big as it is.
Cons
It's old. Harder to find some parts. Not as stylish as other vehicles. No CD players or fancy gadgets inside. No warranty. Some parts near back bumper rust easily.

I bought my Chevrolet K1500 from a friend in 2014 with 100,000 miles on it. The paint and interior at the time were outstanding, almost as if it was in new condition. The interior is plush and comfy, the controls are easily reached and it's very roomy. This is my first pickup truck and I love it. Choosing this truck has made me appreciate another type of driving and the back roads and countrysides. Through the past years and now at 152,000 miles I have had the following work done on my truck. Rear end axle bearings galled up making lot of noise while driving, needed to be replaced, which ran me $600. Tie rod ends needed to be replaced and tons of work with the brake systems. There is nothing about this truck I don't like, it gets up and moves with slight mods to the performance of the ... (more)
Story
I have the most fun during the winter months, using the 4 wheel drive cutting through the snow
Pros
Acceleration, anti-lock brakes, cargo room, interior room, cargo and towing ability and visibility.
Cons
Crappy stock radio, after driving a compact car for years it is tougher to park
