2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer - This Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT is definitely one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Chevy is a brand known for producing quality trucks and SUVs and this one is definitely fits the bill.

The Chevrolet at ext trailblazer is definitely a quality vehicle produced by shipping. I purchased my 2002 back in 2006 and it is still in great shape and runs well. I have not had to provide any repairs on the vehicle outside of regular maintenance and the replacement of the occasional part that has needed to be replaced due to its age or the use that I have put on it. I am NOT one of those guys that gets their car detailed on any regular basis however I do clean it out from time to time, with that being said the interior of this vehicle is extremely durable even with children. With the occasional leather conditioner once or twice a year all of the chairs are in great condition the dash as with fan the test of time with an occasional Armor All treatment. Even the Bose sound system ha... (more)
Story
We took the truck to a beach in Texas and discovered that you could drive your vehicle right up onto the sand. And the best thing about this SUV is the back cargo bay is large enough for two people to sit. So we opened up the back let down the seat and use that as your own personal shaded picnic area. So me and the wife pulled up on to the beach open up the back of the car grab our lunch and s... (more)
Pros
Dependable. Great sound system, lots of bells and whistles with automatic windows and doors, individual driver and passenger climate Control. It even comes with OnStar and a electronic compass
Cons
Switches such as side mirror adjustment switch, four wheel drive switch, tags and pulling levers have the tendency to break of handled to roughly however most adults will not damage these things but young adults and children could easily break these things through rough housing and playing

So I want to say this is a nice ride because it the nicest I have ever owned. The interior and all the bells and whistles are sweet, When they start to crap out its not worth repairing all the over engineered electrical though. So the seats are in a fixed position and the dash lights and gauges are dropping like flies. So before I get into it, I was the second owner, and the first may have been a complete nincompoop. Bought it at 135ish and have had to replace almost everything on the engine within the first year. Glad I'm handy or I would be looking at well over $6000 in repairs. Lets see, water pump, power steering unit, alternator, ac condenser(which seized, snapped the serp and left me stranded in Nebraska), then of course the bearings in the belt tensioner went. Then the MAF sens... (more)
Story
I took it our in a snowstorm where we got 12" of snow and no plows had been out yet. It was fun driving in the snow and I never got stuck.
Pros
Trans has done me right, and the 4wd always works. It does leak tranny fluid at all of the compression fittings, but I top it off once in a while. The suspension is pretty capable actually.
Cons
The engine needed a lot of work right after I bought it.

When the time came to replace my four door sedan, I really wanted an SUV that could haul a lot of stuff to accommodate a gear intensive hobby and I wanted four wheel drive for the snowy winters in my area. The Chevy Trailblazer I purchased meets both of these requirements with a large amount of space and folding seats to haul cargo. It also offers 4 wheel drive hi and lo.
Story
Last fall, I was the host for an event in my hobby. It was held at a fairgrounds so I drove my truck around at about 5-10 mph to check on everyone and the kids at the event decided it'd be fun to ride on the running boards. I took them around my route several times much to their delight.
Pros
I'm short so getting into this vehicle isn't always easy. The one I bought has running boards which makes it much easier to get in and out. I love the running boards. I also like the split folding rear seat. This allows me to still accommodate a passenger in the back if need be and haul stuff. And it's blue. I've wanted a blue vehicle for a long time but would never allow color alone to dictate my purchase. This one is blue and still meets all of my other criteria.
Cons
The center console cushion is caved in from the previous owner, but I know why. Being short I place my elbow in the same place to gain leverage. I sure the previous owner was my height. It is a 2003 which is a bit old and it was high mileage, but I did my research to know that these vehicles hold their resale value.
