I love how big my car is, I cannot stress that enough! Three kids all I car seats plus my husband and myself and we all fit with room. Perfect for those with a family who just aren't ready to jump into the van mom life. It surprised me to see that it actually is a huge gas hog, like others of its size. Does not lack in power, yet drives smooth. We feel very safe in the car, it has a nice strong, stable build to it. It is a sexy car, the body and the curves of it make it stand out and to be appreciated. But like any GM made car there is a list of repairs that are always needed. I have owned the car 1 year, placed 7k miles on it and well 2,000 in to repairs and then extra cost for upkeep like tune up, oil changes. The lines, (oil, trans, power steering) all of them had to be replaced bec... (more)
Story
Being able to have all three of my kids in the car, them having room and us being able to do things as a full family and not taking 2 cars.
Pros
Big, lots of space. Powerful, yet not too forceful- Not a gas hog, my smaller SUV before got 15 MPG this one I get 21MPG. Great body, strong, beautiful, details. Moonroof, who doesn't love the sun shining on you?! Upper racks, great for bringing home objects to large for smaller trunk space. It is not a mini van, enough said.
Cons
Repairs, always needed repairs. Cheap or poorly made factory parts. GM faulty parts.

This vehicle has done a lot for me and my family. I have had this truck for about 4 years now. We have been on many trips across states. To Michigan and Florida from TN multiples times. I do the work on it myself and its holding up pretty well. We have the third row seating which is good for long trips having kids in the back as well as luggage. Car runs very well never gave me any major problems.
Story
I have had some great trips to see my family in other states in this car. Very spacious and cozy. I love this car.
Pros
The size is definitely the biggest pro to this vehicle. That is what I purchased it for so if you have a family you will like that. Climate control works extremely well front to back with multiple controls so everyone gets to feel how they want. Another thing I love about this vehicle is the interior is fabric so its easy to clean and it does get hot in the summer and cold in the winter like leather does in my other car.
Cons
This car is very lightweight and is not good as far as accidents go. A little thud and you will have a nice dent. I think this is the same reason the car has a motor mount issue. This causes a lag in speed sometimes but it catches up not a problem on the highway. The car has rear wheel drive which is not so popular in some conditions but overall gets traction very well up hills and things.

1999 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT - Great body build, rough engine structure.

This was an amazing car, all things considered. It had a few electrical problems, which was especially irritating. I bought the car with pretty low millage, but it still had some problems that come with age on cars like this. The car had acceleration issues the whole time I had it and leaked oil profusely. I also experienced issues with the four-wheel drive shifter. It would short out even though I had it replaced several times. But the car ran really well for its age. Its handling and power were excellent.
Story
Once, a friend of mine got stuck in the snow around where we lived. It drifted and got stuck in a snow bank. He was pretty high up the hill when it happened, and it was still snowing pretty heavily, so his parents couldn't get up to him. I hopped in my car and easily climbed up the mountain and then was able to tow his car out of the snow bank.
Pros
The space was great on the inside. Perfect for camping and travelling. It was a pretty sturdy car too. I loved the body on it. It also handled really smoothly for an older SUV. Great for doing four-wheel drive and excellent in the snow.
Cons
It had some minor electrical problems. Several of the electrical components would short out and required multiple replacements, which was frustrating. It also had some problems accelerating up to freeway speeds at times. Anything over 55 could be an adventure.
