Fantastic. I feel Beat is one of the most cool looking car in the market today and specially the speedometer and all, they look supercool. And boy, that is some serious mileage you are getting from your car. Btw, could you please let us know why do you feel the ACC is not an useful feature. Also, the Beat diesel comes with the maintenance pack which GM is famous for.
Story
First drive as always For me even the frontal visibility is reduced on sharp turns because I have got my seat heightened and the rear view mirror is covered by a larger mirror for reverse parking camera screen. This reduced the distance between my eyes and rear view mirror and also blocks a part of front glass. I believe this will be faced only by taller people (I am 6') and others may find it... (more)
Pros
I too have the Beat LT TCDi in Sand drift Grey. I too am 6' tall and I agree with your points. Your FE is excellent. I haven't checked my FE yet. I've covered 800 kms in the car. I'll start checking it after I finish 1K. What tire pressure do you keep?. 32 psi is what is recommended, however, what I found was that the car was delivered to me with more than 40 psi in the tires (perhaps to boost FE, not sure). Did you get the above FE with 32-psi or with something higher? Also, since you've been on stock tires and the stock steel rim, can you let us know if you faced any sort of issues with ... (more)
Cons
Nothing.

The performance of this truck is amazing. It is a very large truck, but it is definitely quick. It is also fast, I have a feeling we haven't come close to tapping its true potential. It can haul a load in the box or on a trailer. It has pulled a skid loader trailer with the loader and large round hay bales on it. It has also gotten our semi out of the snow more than once. The interior has held up wonderfully, and we have about 130,000 miles on it so far. There are nor rips or tears, and no rattles.
Story
I had the opportunity to drive the truck on a NASCAR race track. My husband and I happened to stumble across an opportunity where if you bought a certain dollar amount of merchandise in the track gift shop, you got to follow a pace car around the track. The pace car driver didn't go slow, that's for sure! It was probably a once in a lifetime experience for us, and I am so glad we did it!
Pros
For being so big, the truck gets decent fuel mileage. It has a 6.5L Duramax diesel and gets around 20 mpg. It hasn't met a load it couldn't haul or pull, but is also great as a daily driver. You can see everything from the drivers seat, even though it is so big, since you sit up so high. It looks awesome, intimidating and tough. The 8 foot box is big enough to fit a few dirt bikes in it, even with a topper on!
Cons
Some people complain about the size, but as far as I am concerned, if it's too big for you, you aren't looking for a real truck. My only complaint would me monetary, parts are expensive! Tires sure aren't cheap, and any accessories are pricey, too.

The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD has been a sturdy and generally reliable vehicle for our household. When we first purchased it in 2003, we lived in Utah. The four-wheel drive certainly got utilized in all that snow out there! Our son played on club, travel, and high school hockey teams, and many a bag of hockey gear was tossed in the bed of the truck. We put many miles on this truck in our travels to hockey games and tournaments in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado. In addition, we’ve made countless trips across the country in this truck.
Story
It was great to have the 4WD when we went through a hurricane on the East Coast one time!
Pros
The four-wheel drive is one of the best features of this truck, serving reliably in snow, mud, sand, and anything else we threw at it. The extended cab was great when the kids were young, and they fit in the back seat perfectly.
Cons
The driver’s and passenger’s mirrors are crazy expensive to replace. It only took one unfortunate incident with a tree to learn this pricey lesson. The wheelbase is very, very long due to the combination of the extended cab and the long bed. This often results in difficulty maneuvering and parking.
