Happy Horses Happy Owner
I had always been a Ford girl, until my Ford laid down and was going to cost a small fortune to repair. Yes, I was one of those unfortunate individuals that got the 6.0 Powerstroke. So, I decided to go with a new Chevrolet Truck. At first I was a little worried that it wouldn't pull my horse trailer since I went to a gas engine from a diesel, but I have been happy with its performance. It drives, rides and handles great. I love having the 4WD, which has saved me a time or two especially at horse shows and my son's motocross races. I would have to say the only things I have found wrong with my truck are that the gas mileage is horrible, when it rains real hard sometimes water will get in my rear door, and it seems like a lot of the maintaince has to be done at the dealerships

Tough old truck.
The 90 C/K 2500 series is the most reliable truck that I've ever owned. Every single issue I've had with the truck, has been easy to find the parts, as well as work on the truck due to having so much room in the engine bay. The 4x4 system works wonderfully on ice and snow. And living in a place where we have that most of the year, I couldn't ask for more. The interior of the truck is actually quite advanced for its time having a fully digital interface for the radio and HVAC controls. The bench seat is extremely comfortable, and easy to adjust. There's tons of light that come in through the large windows, and the dash is not in the way. The truck bed is a 3/4's size, which is big enough to fit just about anything you have in mind from utility vehicles to an entire garage full of tools. The bed liner material that came with the truck is resistant, and rarely scratches. The power that the truck has to tow other vehicles or campers is incredible, and the fuel mileage doesn't seem to suffer much, if at all while towing. Truly a remarkable truck for the road or the farm.

Strong, Dependable, Brute
My 2000 Chevy Silverado HD is all truck. I have crew cab version which makes it great for family events such as going to the lake with the boat or visiting the lumber store for materials. My boat weights about 3000 pounds dry, and my pickup's 6.0 vortec has no problems pulling grade with this load. Short comings is much plastic inside, piston slap upon start up (which does go away, and is common on 6.0s), and puny sounding exhaust.
