Comfortable seats and driving position. Easy to reach and simple controls. Excellent ride. Good forward visibility. Poor rear visibility due to center post of rear doors. All Wheel drive is excellent in winter driving, and off road use.
Story
We took the van on a trip to the Rhode Island shore, and found that our hotel reservations were fouled up, and ended up sleeping in the van. Since the back bench seat folded down to a near full sized bed, we actually enjoyed sleeping in the van, and since then have done it on several trips.
Pros
Excellent driving position, high enough to see over most vehicles. Well designed comfortable seats. Very good heating and air conditioning. Plenty of room for passengers and cargo. Strong V8 engine has more than adequate power Easy access with extended optional steps. Plenty of headroom Extensive shoulder room. Good ground clearance.
Cons
Poor rear view vision due to center posts on rear doors. Poor gas mileage in city driving. Premature rusting and binding of rear side door hinges. Initial cost of vehicle. Difficult access to engine for major work due to portion of engine being located inside passenger compartment. Height restrictions is some parking garages.

This van is super comfortable. It has a lot of space for a large family. I am able to walk around in back to get to my kids easily to help with buckling and any other needs. It has a tv also which is beneficial for the kids riding in back on trips. The back bench also converts into a very soft, comfy bed. Seats are large enough to accommodate many children's car seats and boosters, There is also a lot of nice storage in the van. And has great lighting throughout. The reading light is especially useful for the child in the back who likes to read. The trunk is very roomy which comes in handy while taking long trips with the family and fits many suitcases and beach chairs. I also enjoy that there is a small handheld vacuum to use in back of the van. It comes in handy cleaning up t... (more)
Story
I enjoyed a day hanging out in the back with the baby and toddlers watching a movie while the older kids were at a game cheering. It was super comfortable and roomy for them to move around while we stayed dry from the rain.
Pros
The comfort of the seats, the lighting throughout the van, the tv for the back, very large trunk for luggage and travel, the large seats for car seats and children, the bench transforming into a bed in back, drives great, runs great.
Cons
This van uses a lot of gas and is somewhat hard to park at times, air conditioning has a small leak that we've had to add fluid to a few times.

2004 Chevrolet Express Passenger - Very roomy, and great on long trips.

The Chevrolet Express Van is a large van with plenty of room for people and or cargo. Our van is a Regency Conversion Unit with the high top. It has very good headroom, and can be used for hauling seven people or with the rear bench seat removed it has excellent cargo space. The weakest point with the van is the braking system. The brakes could be larger and of better quality. Fuel economy around town is poor, but on the highway, it is decent for a van of this size. The dual passenger side and driver side entry doors tend to squeak quite a bit. Rear vision is limited due to the large blind area at the center of the two rearmost doors. The outside mirrors are more than adequate to compensate for the lack of rear vision through the inside mirror. The large 8 cylinder engine has more than... (more)
Story
We have driven this van across country six times averaging about 7,000 miles per trip. While we were in Yellowstone National Park a few years ago, An elk came up to the van and stuck it's head in the passenger side window while my wife was trying to take a photo of it. The elk actually drooled on the camera lens.
Pros
Excellent passenger room and more than adequate cargo space. A great van for cross country travel. Very comfortable seating, and a decent ride. The All Wheel Drive is excellent in winter driving conditions.
Cons
Inadequate brakes. Squeaks with the dual passenger side and driver side rear doors, and rear vision through the interior mirror.
