Great Truck - Lives up to its name
Though we have only owned this truck for a short while, I can say that we are extremely happy with the quality of the truck. We bought the HD version since we frequently haul firewood for our own family. We thought that to have a dependable and reliable truck that we could enjoy would be a great idea. We were right. We like the fact that it is HD and diesel - right now, diesel is cheaper than the premium fuel I was required to put into my other vehicle. Also, everything on this truck seems to be built tougher than any truck we've had before.

Dependable, powerful & sturdy.
From 19 miles on the odometer when I bought the truck, to 330,000+ miles today, it has been the most dependable truck. I've replaced several things as to be expected on a truck of this age and with this many miles, but it has continued to perform well. The mileage is good for a diesel truck, towing upwards of 16,000 pounds on a regular basis, and averages 13 mpg towing. There is more than enough power to tow the large horse trailer, full of horses for miles and miles up and down the highways. I will say that it did have the expected Chevy transfer case replacement at approx. 130,000 miles, and the fuse box under the hood is not designed to support the amount of running lights trailers are equipped with. The wires melted, and fuse box started on fire. Had to replace fuse box and substitute heavier gauge wire to prevent future issues. It seems common in the dually that rear wheel seal issues are seen. After years of replacing rear wheel seals, the rear end needed to be replaced in the truck. Upon replacing almost 100,000 miles ago, there has been no leaking seal issues again. These trucks have plenty of head room, which is a concern for taller people, and they ride just like a light duty truck.

Awesome
I just love the power it has and how smooth it is to drive. Its also comfortable when driving. From the outside it looks like a huge truck but just drives like a small comfortable car. Its turning and steering are surprisingly top notch as well.
