I love that the vehicle was the cheapest version of a five seat car that Chevrolet had, yet it feels almost like I'm in a luxury vehicle (or at least in the future) with its Sirius radio and digital controls. The car itself is very cute and good looking, and I've even had a man at the grocery store compliment me on it. It even emails me if the tire pressure is low. However, the seat for driving is very uncomfortable and unadjustable. I needed to use a back support or it hurts my back, which is not something I noticed in the lot. Sometimes it hurts my back even with a back support.
Story
A man parking at Target to shop with his young son complimented how cute this car was, and asked me what kind it was.
Pros
I love that it's small and cute, has great fuel economy, and has a fancy computerized display. It emails you if the tires have low air pressure. It shows you an estimate of how many miles per gallon average you are driving at that moment, and can also show you how many miles you can drive on your remaining gas. It even comes with a Sirius radio, though the subscription for using it is temporary and expires. The bumpers are plastic, so even if you scratch the paint off there, they won't rust. Someone cracked one of the tail lights open, I think the car was parked, but anyway even though the... (more)
Cons
The driver's seat does not recline and the bottom of the seat can't adjust up or down either, only backwards and forwards. It is an extremely uncomfortable seat and hurts my back if I drive for an extended period of time, sometimes even if I'm using a back support. The car is also very small nosed, and my husband's long legs barely fit even if the seat is all the way back. We always had very small cars, so I didn't think it would be a problem, but he said this one somehow had less room even compared to the other small cars (Hyundai Accent, Chevy Aveo, etc), despite having a longer profile ... I have the 2014 Chevy Sonic, LT Turbo Engine vehicle. This vehicle has been an absolute favorite of mine. I have had some issues with the vehicle though they have all been pretty minor and generally are related to the factory tires that were on the vehicle at the time of purchase. My version of the car has power everything, which has worked relatively well though currently the power door locks on the driver's door don't work. I'm not sure if this was due to an accident that the vehicle was involved in or if it just went bad. It comes with OnStar which is the most obnoxious thing on the planet and thankfully doesn't work any longer in my vehicle for some reason. Since OnStar no longer works I no longer have access to the Bluetooth setup in my car. The car handles turns very well, it is ... (more)
Story
My favorite thing about the vehicle is driving around town. I love driving period but this car gets so many compliments based on the color. People always stop me to ask about it. My car color is called Deep Magenta and there are only 1000 like it which makes it special to me.
Pros
I love the MyLink feature of the vehicle. The huge screen in the middle of the car makes it so easy to see what radio station you're listening to. It also has an aux set up available and a usb slot to connect your iPhone to. Which makes listening to music great. The speakers on the car do the job. I drive mostly city miles and yet I still average 30MPG combined. I've gotten about 50-60MPG Highway before though that is not listed anywhere from the standard performance on the manufacturer's website. The back seat is rather comfortable even for taller friends. Some of my male friends are 6 fe... (more)
Cons
The traction control and stability control features of this vehicle are hypersensitive which can make driving the vehicle difficult at times if you have bad tires.

I was instantly attracted to the color of this car (Orange) which made me interested enough in buying it without really looking into it. For the first year that I had it, I received three different recall notices. I wasn't very happy about that because I had to take the car to the dealership and they don't have extended or weekend hours which also means that I have to take off work to get the vehicle repaired. I don't feel safe in this car. The brakes feel like they tighten up when I press them down, especially going down a hill. One time this past winter, I was braking on the snow and the brakes kept locking up on me. That was very scary. I thought that the guy behind me was going to ram into the back of my car. What I do like is that I can fill up the tank and it will last all week. ... (more)
Story
Not really.
Pros
The color orange gets noticed. It is easy to find in a crowded parking lot. It gets good gas mileage. It's easy to park in a small parking space. It goes pretty fast. I like having the remote starter. It was another one of the features that sold me on this vehicle. Because I don't have a garage, it makes it easier on me to use the remote starter to get my car starter on a cold, winter day.
Cons
Brakes lock at times - especially when going down hills. I don't feel safe in it because of that. You have to take it to the dealer to get an oil change because if you don't, the mechanics at Jiffy Lube will screw up your electronic system and then you will have to take it to the dealer anyway to get it all reset.
