The 2014 Chevy Sonic is very small. My husband and I are slim and sometimes when we take trips we find the cabin to be very uncomfortable. The engine is a 2.4L and it has an optional turbo feature, but I still do not feel as though it really gets up and goes. The car itself is a sporty model and has a nice appeal when looking at it from the outside. The interior is well made with an LCD screen for using Bluetooth and the radio, though it lacks a CD player. The gas mileage on it is great and there is a monitor for it that shows. Currently I average about 30 mpg, so I do save money on gas. The exterior has a crystal sheen to it due to the upgraded paint job. As far as reliability, I do consider this Chevy Sonic reliable. It has never let me down. The a/c and heat work well, though I wish... (more)
Story
The vehicle does make for a good around-the-town car. I am able to get into small spaces due to the smaller size of the car. Once, my husband and I decided to go out for dinner. There is a local pizza place that has a grassy parking lot. Because of the small size of my car, I was able to squeeze into a small spot and have a shorter walk to the restaurant.
Pros
My favorite features of this car are the gas mileage, overall exterior appearance, paint color, Bluetooth capabilities, and the LCD screen. The gas mileage on this vehicle is fantastic. I drive mainly city miles and I still have an overall MPG of 30 miles per gallon. This helps me save money with gas but also makes me confident in the overall performance of the vehicle. The exterior appearance is sporty which is nice, and the paint color has a crystal sheen that looks pretty in the sun. The Bluetooth capabilities really help to put this car on the map. I can easily accept and make calls wh... (more)
Cons
The negative things about this vehicle are as follows: cabin size, lack of CD player, lack of heated/cooled seats, and a turbo that doesn't function as I had hoped. The cabin size is very small in the 2014 Chevy Sonic. My husband and I are slim and we have a difficult time traveling. The cup holders are in between the seats which makes for a difficult time of maneuvering when there is someone in the passenger seat. Though the vehicle has the LCD screen, there is not a CD player. I can easily connect my phone and listen to music, aside from the radio, however I would appreciate being able t... (more)

I love that the vehicle was the cheapest version of a five seat car that Chevrolet had, yet it feels almost like I'm in a luxury vehicle (or at least in the future) with its Sirius radio and digital controls. The car itself is very cute and good looking, and I've even had a man at the grocery store compliment me on it. It even emails me if the tire pressure is low. However, the seat for driving is very uncomfortable and unadjustable. I needed to use a back support or it hurts my back, which is not something I noticed in the lot. Sometimes it hurts my back even with a back support.
Story
A man parking at Target to shop with his young son complimented how cute this car was, and asked me what kind it was.
Pros
I love that it's small and cute, has great fuel economy, and has a fancy computerized display. It emails you if the tires have low air pressure. It shows you an estimate of how many miles per gallon average you are driving at that moment, and can also show you how many miles you can drive on your remaining gas. It even comes with a Sirius radio, though the subscription for using it is temporary and expires. The bumpers are plastic, so even if you scratch the paint off there, they won't rust. Someone cracked one of the tail lights open, I think the car was parked, but anyway even though the... (more)
Cons
The driver's seat does not recline and the bottom of the seat can't adjust up or down either, only backwards and forwards. It is an extremely uncomfortable seat and hurts my back if I drive for an extended period of time, sometimes even if I'm using a back support. The car is also very small nosed, and my husband's long legs barely fit even if the seat is all the way back. We always had very small cars, so I didn't think it would be a problem, but he said this one somehow had less room even compared to the other small cars (Hyundai Accent, Chevy Aveo, etc), despite having a longer profile ...
