I'm very satisfied with my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. It has over 200,000 miles on it and it still drives like a dream. The engine is quiet and sometimes I can’t tell that it’s on. I haven't had many problems with the performance, none that were major anyway. When I had to get the car repaired, the parts were not very expensive. The layout of the engine makes repairs fast and easy. The interior fabric is very sturdy and comfortable. After all of this time, there are no tears and it's easy to clean. The stereo system works great. Since it’s an older model, it has a CD player, tape deck, and AM/FM radio. There's no static in the speakers when the music is turned up high. I like that the steering isn't as firm as others. It's very easy to handle and doesn't take a lot of effort to turn the w... (more)
Story
I just recently took my mom Christmas shopping and bought an office chair. The sales clerk was kind enough to take it out to the car for us and asked what year my Trailblazer was. I told him it was a 2003 and asked if he had one. He said he used to and thought mine may have been his old one because his was the same color blue as mine. Come to find out, his was a 2002. He also said his wife had... (more)
Pros
What I like the most is that there's plenty of room between seats so it doesn't feel overly crowded when you're transporting a lot of people. Also it has a lot of hidden compartments for storage. I had the SUV for almost 6 months before I found out all the hidden features in it. The back seats fold down to make more room for the trunk, but they also fold the other direction so you can use it for extra space.
Cons
The one thing I don't really like is that the spare tire is located underneath the car and there is a tiny, dark hole that you have to put a tool into in order to lower the spare. If you're in a dark place and get a flat tire, it could be difficult to see and maneuver. I also don't like the placements of the front seat seatbelts. They are located a little too far back, also behind the seat so sometimes it's difficult to grab it to pull it around your body.

This SUV has been a good vehicle to drive. It's roomy enough for a group of 5 and yet small enough to be comfortable to handle. The body shows minimal wear for the year. The interior is also wearing well. This SUV has all the features you need for enjoyable travel, a great radio and CD system, power windows and a luggage rack mount on the roof. The body is sturdy and tight. Tire size is common and easy to replace. There are plenty of cup holders and an ample trunk space. We have not had any major issues with this vehicle - mileage is around 168,000 and she is going strong. We have done routine maintenance and have repaired a front wheel bearing but the motor has been repair free. I like the color of this suv, it is a muted greenish/gray which is very sophisticated. The interior is gray... (more)
Story
I was coming home from work and put this Suv in the ditch.....but I kept driving on through and actually drove myself out and did not have to be towed. It has power. I only damaged a headlight (easily replaced) and it drove fine afterward.
Pros
Heated seats Four wheel drive Luggage rack Roomy interior Handles well in all types of weather Dependable Does not show wear for the year of the vehicle
Cons
It was a little pricey Doesn't handle well in all wheel drive in the snow, but does great in four wheel drive. The trunk lock does not unlock at times with the key fob... you have to mess with it.
