In NHTSA testing, the 2019 Beetle received a four-star rating on the front crash and rollover tests (out of a possible five stars). In IIHS testing, the car received a Good score on all categories except for the front small overlap test where it got a Marginal on the driver's side. Automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection and lane keeping assist are not available on any Beetle model.
