I absolutely love this car. It's the absolute perfect size. It's so much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. I have moved an entire dining room set, table, chairs and all in one trip using this car with the seats folded down. With the seats folded down, it's also a great space for my dog on car rides. With the seats folded up, you can comfortably fit four passengers in this car. I have even fit eight-foot long lumber in this car before, but you can't have any passengers to do that! I outfitted the car with roof racks, which means I can carry even more stuff, and I will be putting a tow hitch on it so I can haul even more stuff! I can't say enough good things about the size of this car.
Story
Watching fireworks out the back of the hatchback on the fourth of July. We folded the seats down and laid down in the back.
Pros
The handling is also really tight. It's got a lot of torque and is a lot of fun to drive for a moderately priced hatch-back. Oh, and did I mention it has a ton of space inside?
Cons
I honestly can't think of a single thing I don't like about this car. Maybe the only thing is that I had to get a two-door car to get the manual transmission, and I would have preferred the four door. The four-door has body-matched trim on the sides that I liked better at first, but the black trim on the two door has grown on me. I've only had to put one baby in a car seat in the car, and it went okay, but I probably wouldn't want to do that again or very often with only the two doors.

I like that this car is compact yet spacious. It looks nice and sleek. It is great for traveling. The back is the perfect size for a large dog to travel along with you. For a Volkswagen, the fuel efficiency could be better. However, overall, this a great vehicle. I am happy about it. Even though it is ten years old, it is still fairly high tech.
Story
Since this car is a hatchback, it's easy to transport my large dog around town. I like to take her to the dog park using this car.
Pros
The car is small and compact. Yet it can fit five people and a dog comfortably. There is a luggage rack on the top to make for even more room and convenience. The sound system in the car works very well, and it has amenities like seat warmers, auxiliary ports, and cruise control. The car also has an auto start, which is very useful in the winter time months.
Cons
A major con about this vehicle is that the gas mileage averages about 23 miles per gallon. This is not a bad number, but considering it is a compact Volkswagen, I expected better mileage. Another con is that there was a factory recall on the antilock braking system that I had to have replaced. Fortunately, the replacement was free for the recall, but it was still inconvenient.
