The car is an amazing vehicle for all occasions. It has a extremely simple hatchback look, but conveys sleekness when traveling. It has been an extremely reliable car and has great handling and comfort. Volkswagen spent a lot of time thinking how to make the car comfortable and easy to drive for the everyday person. It's a no non-sense vehicle that gets you to where you are.
Pros
The car is really comforting and extremely reliable. I have never had a problem with the car and drives really well. Handling is great and does not have to be steer much to go in the direction you want. Although it is not the most powerful car, it is perfect on San Francisco streets and goes up and down hills with ease. It can get you to and from destinations quickly and safely. I also like how the body is metal as opposed to aluminum as other car manufacturers use, so that provides a sturdier frame. The braking is extremely responsive as well, which is great for San Francisco where I live... (more)
Cons
A huge con about the car is that it is a gas hog. It uses a ton of fuel compare to most cars that have similar weight and dimensions as it. I guess This is due to the fact that it has a metal frame and can go fairly fast. I spend $40 on gas each week for a fairly light commute for work and on the weekends to buy groceries. I also wish that there was a bit more trunk space. I am able to place a normal grocery load in it, but buying larger objects poses a bit more of a problem. Having more space in the trunk would definitely make the car more appealing.

Quick specs for my Rabbit: Color white, style hatchback only, 2.5 L engine with 192hp. My Volkswagen Rabbit is a bit of a speed demon. Though over 2 tons in weight, it boasts a very light feel while driving, and very solid control handling turns. Back to the 2 ton part about the car. It is indeed a very heavy vehicle for its small size, but that's because it's built very solid. One would not expect any less from a car crafted with German Engineering.
Story
I'd take my friends on road trips all the time with this car. Bet most people wouldn't do that with a 2-door 4-seater like the Rabbit, but we did!
Pros
I again reiterate how well the car handles. I don't know if it's because of the small size or because of the German Engineering, but it's really easy to handle. It's no wonder this car (or some variant) won a 2009 race. There's a bonus on the inside for iPod lovers. There's a slot made especially for your Apple products. Unfortunate that there's no USB port, but an Apple enthusiast would love the car! Finally, I must mention that my Rabbit was a lease from my local Volkswagen dealer. Like other quality brands, Volkswagen gave me FREE maintenance for leasing. That's free oil change twice ... (more)
Cons
Too bad I wasn't an Apple enthusiast. I wanted to plug in my regular MP3, but no USB means no music for me. There is a CD player of course, but it's really skippy going over bumps! Besides those slight annoyances, there are some things about the car overall that I didn't like though. The steering wheel is a bit sensitive, more so than most FF drive-train cars (front wheel drive, front engine). So I guess you could say the car handles well, but sometimes too well. Another thing that bugs me is how the dashboard blocked my view of my hood and of the road. This is the first "modern" car I've... (more)
