Solid, Reliable
The 1996 Volvo 850 GLT is part of a solid line of vehicles that was manufactured from 91-96. It was a fantastic platform that was extremely reliable. It was among the best vehicles I've ever owned.

Well-built and reliable.
Overall, a well-built vehicle with a very reliable engine and transmission combination. This vehicle is approaching 300K miles and is a daily driver. The car is still a low-maintenance vehicle and very reliable. The exterior is original factory paint and is still in excellent shape. The engine and the transmission are also original.

Dependable and Fun to Drive
I got this car used with quite a few miles on it. I love that it gets good gas mileage even though it is an older model, and I also love the dependability that comes with the Volvo brand. The station wagon version also has a lot of room which is helpful to me as a college student. I never really experienced any mechanical problems with the Volvo other than a few tire issues which were more likely the fault of the tire rather than the car itself.
