A GREAT CAR!
This 1998 Volvo S70 is a beautiful machine. It still looks great as we have kept it in fine condition. People cannot believe it is 18 years old. The paint is still white and clean looking. The engine runs well as my husband has continually done the proper maintenance. The car takes off easily and quickly, going up the Harbor Bridge without any problem. The build quality has been sound and sturdy. The safety measures that Volvo took when they made this car was the best. I feel comfortable and very safe in this handsome car.

Enjoyable driving experience.
I really enjoy this car. It accelerates very quickly, and it's just a real joy to drive. There are lots of features on this model, too. Sunroof works seamlessly, as its auto-mechanically operated, and the other power options all work as one would expect them to. The body aesthetics are well conceived, and the rear spoiler option is a subtle, yet very welcome addition to this model type. Drivetrain feels strong and durable, and the ride quality is very sufficient for a car in this category. I also like that this particular model allows the user to change the shifting experience per the need at the time. Later models within this S70 model do not allow anything except for W or "winter mode" to be configured by the user. I like having the option to control that myself. It has slightly above average gas mileage based on my use, and the car runs cool even in this debilitating heat we deal with in Florida here. I also like that it has an auto off on everything after 20 minutes of staying on without actually running. You wont ever have to worry about this car having a dead battery because you left your lights on in the car, for instance. Overall, it seems to be well worth the investment, and I highly recommend the experience of driving one someday. If this one breaks one day, I'll definitely be looking for a low mileage one near my location to buy.

Best economic car I have ever owned
My carhas over 250,000 miles on it and still runs excellent. Not only does it run well, for an older car it has some pretty great features - like heated seats. The only thing I find dislikable at this point is that things are slowly starting to go out on it and mess up in tiny ways - the shifter button sticks and you have to wiggle it to get it to stay in place; the driver's heated seat button won't stay on unless you wiggle it or place something heavy on it, etc. Also the biggest downfall of this model is that every single one I have ever encountered has had the same exact problem: it burns oil. This tends to happen with older cars, yes. But the fact that every single one of this particular car I have ever seen has had the same problem makes me wonder why. I have had to replace a few parts over the time I've had it, but overall it is a very very good car and I would definitely buy another one in good condition.
