As a hard working EMT that needs a car to get to work and move around places, its safe to say the 2002 Volvo c70 was the perfect car for me. I love this car to death and find that its the perfect budget car for me. Its reliable, has never broken down, fast and great on gas. With 114,000 miles on it, I'm extremely impressed by the quality and the life span of these cars. Everything from the stereo system down to the trunk space is perfect about this car.
Story
Once I did 130 mph on the highway. Fastest I've ever went on a car.
Pros
The car is fast. The looks really nice. It has like a nice vintage look to it. The hood has a lot of room in it in case you want to mod the engine. The stereo system that comes with it is really nice on base and sound quality.
Cons
Sometimes went it hits really big bumps in the road it can be a little hard on the car but its a really low car so that should be expected.

I knew I wanted a luxury convertible so I did my research prior to taking the plunge and writing the check. I fell in love with my Volvo C70 the moment I saw her sitting in the dealer lot. I saw her online first, but she was even prettier in real life than I expected. She was mildly used, which was exactly what I was looking for - less than 6,000 miles and less than a year old, but at a deep discount to purchasing her brand new. It was the sleek lines that caught my attention. I hadn't really planned to buy a white car, but she was so beautiful! When I got in for my test drive and the salesman put the top down, I knew I was hooked. It goes down automatically and folds into the trunk. I keep her serviced according to the manufacture's specs and I have not had any problems, not even with... (more)
Story
I love the way people - especially children - stop and stare when the top is going up or down on my car. It never fails to get attention when I am in a parking lot. Once I was at a restaurant with outdoor dining around 2:30 pm where the local high school kids like to grab a snack after school. I was putting the top up to run in and grab something to go and a table of high school boys were s... (more)
Pros
I love the way my Volvo C70 makes me feel when I am driving her even when the top is up! Because it is a hard top convertible vs. a soft top, there is not the wind or road noise you might expect in this type of car. She handles beautifully (with the exception of the turning radius which I noted in "cons") and breaks well even in wet road conditions. My "blind" spot is very small and I feel like I can see what is going on around me very well. I don't have a back up camera, but she does beep when I get too close to an object behind me. The size and handling makes her super easy to parallel p... (more)
Cons
There are a few things that I would change about my Volvo C70. First is the gas mileage - I get only about 22 miles per gallon and since I drive her everywhere I spend a lot of money on gas. Next is the quality of the interior. There has been some wear and tear that I think could have been avoided if better quality materials were used. For instance, some of the plastic pieces on the interior have faded and there is a bit of peeling. Also, it would be much more functional if the back seat were just a little bit bigger and the front seats moved up an inch or two more to allow passengers to g... (more)

I love that you can bring the top down, its a great older car. I like that its fun and very comfortable. I think its a good used car for a teenager, or if you need an extra car to go across town. I nice little relic. The only downside is the maintenance can be expensive, especially now that its older. As with all older cars you need to do more work to them, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep the car.
Story
Cruising!!!
Pros
I love the radio, it comes with a nice sounds system even though its stock. The seats are great and it has a nice feel to the car. My favorite is just cruising with the top down in the summer. Most people get curious to see it. I've had a lot of interest from a my girlfriends who think is a pretty cute car. I think its fun to bring my friends along too, they love it.
Cons
The maintenance on it is more expensive than other cars I've had. It also seems that there are more issues to it too. Its not even reached 200,000 miles too, so if you have one with a lot of miles I would be concerned. However if you have the funds to keep it up it should not be a problem.
