The car is a great one to drive. It has immediate horsepower off the line because of it's turbo but there's a few things some people should keep in mind when owning this car. One is that you can't find a lot of replacement parts at local auto parts stores. You usually have to go to a dealership and they either have them in stock, or they have to order them from Sweden. This makes it an expensive car to maintain because repairs and parts cost a lot. The window regulators on these cars are also expensive to replace and are a known failure part on them. Also the convertible top is expensive to replace and repair as well, and it's another part that is prone to failure over time.
Story
One fun time is when a Dodge Challenger tried to overtake me in the Volvo. He couldn't keep up with me even though the Volvo has 100hp less than the Challenger. It definitely behaves like it has more power than it actually does. Its low end is where the power is at, which makes it a great car to drive on the road.
Pros
The car is a blast to drive though. It has great off the line torque and horsepower. It's enough to get in and out of traffic in an instant. The turbo'd engine helps it to excel immediately off the line. People always give you looks because they think it's a Mercedes or BMW because no one knows Volvos to have two doors and come in a convertible form. There isn't too much aftermarket for these cars, but the little that is out there is enough to easily get this car to 350+ hp.
Cons
The negatives about the car is the cost to maintain it and some known parts that are prone to failure. One is the automatic transmission from the aw55-50 tranny. It is expensive to replace and also the window regulators.

I love that you can bring the top down, its a great older car. I like that its fun and very comfortable. I think its a good used car for a teenager, or if you need an extra car to go across town. I nice little relic. The only downside is the maintenance can be expensive, especially now that its older. As with all older cars you need to do more work to them, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep the car.
Story
Cruising!!!
Pros
I love the radio, it comes with a nice sounds system even though its stock. The seats are great and it has a nice feel to the car. My favorite is just cruising with the top down in the summer. Most people get curious to see it. I've had a lot of interest from a my girlfriends who think is a pretty cute car. I think its fun to bring my friends along too, they love it.
Cons
The maintenance on it is more expensive than other cars I've had. It also seems that there are more issues to it too. Its not even reached 200,000 miles too, so if you have one with a lot of miles I would be concerned. However if you have the funds to keep it up it should not be a problem.
