I love my Audi. I think their style is timeless, and I love their sporty feel. The car itself rides nicely, and while it can be expensive to insure, it is a good looking car that rides and looks nice. There is some issues with Audi and oil consumption due to the pistons and rings being improperly sized. Mine was covered under a class- action lawsuit but overall, even with that, I like my Audi.
Story
This car has plenty of room for loading the kids into a weekend trip. We surprised our eight-year-old son with a trip to Minneapolis for his birthday to see his favorite team play. All three kids fit without any problem and we had enough luggage room for everyone to feel comfortable. While a larger car would be nice, the handling suffers when you get a lot larger.
Pros
In terms of costs, there's not much that's too expensive. It gets good MPG. The car is great for family trips - not too big or too small. There is plenty of trunk room for most things, groceries, etc. The car rides well and has a nice look and aesthetic.
Cons
I had an engine oil consumption problem that required multiple trips to the dealer to have it fixed with eventually the entire engine being rebuilt. The overall cost was covered, but it was a pain to deal with.

We had a Porsche Cayenne as our family car, but that Porsche had a long history of expensive upkeep and it was time to trade it in before it became a sinkhole. So we made a deal and paid cash for a used Q5. Our first mistake was that the Q5 requires the highest grade gasoline. As a family car, it gets used to the tune of about 75 miles a day. This gasoline quality minimum requirement is extremely costly in the long run. By way of comparison, our neighbor has a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it requires the cheapest gas grade. This is a difference of seventy-five cents a gallon. Multiply that by 40,000 miles a year and it adds up to thousands of dollars. But the car looks great. There is no denying that. It's a stylish ride that my wife can be proud of as she drives the boys around town and t... (more)
