The first thing that caught my attention was the appearance of the wagon. It's very fashionable. It's not old and outdated like a station wagon. I love the color I picked, too (champagne silver). It's not too big, bulky or boxy. The interior is very spacious as well. I fit comfortably in the fully adjustable drivers seat. I also sat in the back seat and there was ample room for all of my passengers. The back seat is adjustable, too - it moves forward and back to allow for more space. I usually get car sick in the back seat. I rode in the back and didn't get sick. I like the cloth seats and carpet.
Story
I was out shopping 1 Saturday morning and I locked my keys in the car . I was able to unlock my doors with the phone app.
Pros
The visual appeal. It's spacious. The back seats fold down to provide additional space in the trunk. I can haul some big items in it. I moved a daybed in there. I moved an entire changing table for my baby in there. It was put together, too. I get good gas for the mileage I travel. I go around to all the municipal buildings doing audits. I often travel in the car and I get good mileage. I love OnStar. I don't get lost anymore. The function is convent and I use it often. I have enough space in the car for my twelve year old and my four month old. I'm a football mom and I can lug all of his ... (more)
Cons
The seats are not electronic. I have to pull a lever located in the corner to move the seats forwards and backwards. It would be better if that part was electronic. There is a camera that comes on when the car backs up. The car has Bluetooth capabilities, too. If a phone call is coming in while the car is backing up you can't answer it through the touch screen. You can miss phone calls and not see who called. Then you have to get your phone out. The space between the chair is thin. It's hard to get items that fall between it. The car gets really hot inside on hot days. It doesn't have auto... (more)

This is my second Terrain, and I have driven it for 78,000 miles. Both vehicles have been dependable with relatively low cost for maintenance. It has been great on long trips, and the fuel economy has exceeded expectations. No physical part of the vehicles have been replaced from brakes to electronic system to hoses and belts. The rides have been quiet, and the vehicle has an excellent sound system. The heating system needs some work as you can be roasting one minute and freezing the next minute in the front seats. The controls do not reset very well going from heat to cooling internal to the car. The seats are comfortable and have plenty of leg room. The rear seats move forward and backward. The storage capacity in the rear is not adequate as you cannot store a set of golf clubs witho... (more)
Story
While driving around town, I like to use the menu system on the CRT display. I saw that the left front tire air pressure was low. As I was driving, I kept checking the tire pressure and kept panicking as it dropped. I was able to make a detour to a tire store and they found a nail in the tire. Thank you GMC for alerting me and saving an on the road breakdown.
Pros
Great gas mileage exceeding expectations. Low maintenance costs in two Terrains. The separated rear seats allows for easy collapse of the seat for extra storage in the rear. The car rides quiet and is great on long trips. Color rear camera is a great added feature.
Cons
The front seat heating and cooling needs retooling. You can be frozen one minute, and it is hard to reset to a higher temperature. The temperature does not stay constant for a long period of time. Storage area with the rear seat up does not allow for storage of golf clubs and many other things.
