A perfect, first "big girl" car.
My 2010 Kia Forte was my first ever "big girl" purchase. I bought the car in 2013 when it was about 13 years old, and my car had about 24,000 miles on it when it was first bought. Looking back, I know I made the best decision when buying this vehicle because of how many wonderful, easy years it has given me. I'm one of those people who feels "cursed" when it comes to cars; something always breaks, and I'm always out a lot of money. My Kia, other than a couple of minor hiccups, has been an extremely reliable vehicle. I have not had any major engine or transmission issues, and to this day, it runs smooth as if it is brand new. My Kia Forte is the perfect size. It's very roomy inside to accommodate four–five people comfortably, but it's not so big that I can still weave around downtown Charleston, SC without much hassle about squeezing through tight places. My Kia came complete with Bluetooth capabilities, which makes me feel rather princess-worthy. The voice control options are actually very accurate, and it recognizes my voice well. A major downfall of this car, however, is that it comes with a compass, but it does not come with a thermostat to tell me the temperature outside! With a car that has so many bells and whistles at a super affordable price, it's odd not to have that small luxury that even older, cheaper cars typically have. Overall though, my Kia has soldiered through some tough times, and I will drive her till the wheels fall off.

Reliable, comfortable, enjoyable
What I enjoy most of all about my car is the warranty. I enjoy not having to worry about most parts or repairs until I hit 100,000 miles. I also love the interior, it is very spacious. I enjoy that the interior is 3 different colors, I feel it sets me apart from other cars. Overall it is one of the best cars I have owned.

Safe
This car has had no major mechanical issues so far. It's got over 100,000 miles on it. I like that it's small enough for me to feel comfortable in, but large enough for there to be ample leg room in the back for the kids without the front passenger and driver having to move their seats up. The car itself has held up great to the long Pennsylvania winters. It's very sturdy in the snow and has great traction control. Kia offers a 100,000 mile warranty for all their models, but that only covers major engine issues. The paint under the gaskets in the trunk and hood had started rusting about 29,600 miles into my having the car. The warranty for the paint job is 30,000 miles, and there was an extremely long wait to be approved for the new paint job and replacement gaskets. The computer system is fritzing now, sometimes the horn won't beep, the traction control will not turn off and the cruise control won't turn on. All in all, I'm happy with this car. It's got a 5 star safety rating. The gas mileage is amazing, 30 highway miles to the gallon. It's got airbags everywhere and sensors to tell you about the tire pressure and engine issues. It has a good 'get up and go' on cold mornings. The A/C blow cold on hot days. It also has a very smooth ride. The engine is quiet, sometimes I'm not sure if I've actually started it or I just turned the battery on.
