Excellent car, much more than I expected.
When I purchased my 2011 kia forte I was looking for a car to simply get me to and from work. I had looked at Toyotas and Hondas, however I felt like they were over priced for what you get. I stopped by Kia knowing that they are the same company as Hyundai. I then owned a Hyundai and it was a very good car. I test drove the car. It had nice pickup, the air conditioner worked very well, and it got excellent gas mileage. It also looked very sporty and not cheap at all. The build quality and ride were very sturdy. What surprised me were the extras that were included. It has satellite radio, hands free Bluetooth for your phone, and 5 years road side assistance. On top of all these features it had an excellent price. One thing I love about the Bluetooth is that you can play music from your phone wirelessly. This means you don't have to have CDs in the car. I have 50,000+ miles on my car and have only changed the oil. I am still on the original tires. This is an excellent economy car with plenty of unexpected extras.

The 2011 Kia Forte is an exceptional vehicle at an exceptional value, both short and long term. I've had my Forte for four years now, and I couldn't love it any more than I do. Aside from its outstanding gas mileage (I got 41 mpg on a trip from Dallas to Little Rock), it's as reliable a vehicle as there is on the road. In those four years the only maintenance I've had to do is routine oil changes. Over the past year, my tires finally started to wear out, but only after I'd had screws and/or nails removed from each one on more than one occasion. It rides smoothly and comfortably, with the built-in Sirius/XM radio accompanying me on road trips from Little Rock, AR to Abilene, Texas to South Padre Island, back to Abilene then to Norman, OK and back to Little Rock. The Forte may not have a super-charged, turbo engine, but the its lightweight frame allows for just the right amount of pickup in any necessary situation (drag-racing not included). I've driven this car through snowstorms, rainstorms, and even through Hurricane Isaac, and have never had a problem. For the price, there aren't many better vehicles. I most likely will drive this Forte until it doesn't run anymore, and then head right back to the Kia dealership.
