When I purchased my 2011 kia forte I was looking for a car to simply get me to and from work. I had looked at Toyotas and Hondas, however I felt like they were over priced for what you get. I stopped by Kia knowing that they are the same company as Hyundai. I then owned a Hyundai and it was a very good car. I test drove the car. It had nice pickup, the air conditioner worked very well, and it got excellent gas mileage. It also looked very sporty and not cheap at all. The build quality and ride were very sturdy. What surprised me were the extras that were included. It has satellite radio, hands free Bluetooth for your phone, and 5 years road side assistance. On top of all these features it had an excellent price. One thing I love about the Bluetooth is that you can play music from your ... (more)
Story
One time my wife called and I had her on the car speaker phone so my friend riding with me could hear our conversation. She was not aware of this this and proceeded to tell me how much she missed me romantically. I had to stop her before the details got too graphic.
Pros
I love the price and gas mileage, as well as the many great high end features.
Cons
The only negative is there are a few rattles in the car which come and go when driving.

The 2011 Kia Forte is an exceptional vehicle at an exceptional value, both short and long term. I've had my Forte for four years now, and I couldn't love it any more than I do. Aside from its outstanding gas mileage (I got 41 mpg on a trip from Dallas to Little Rock), it's as reliable a vehicle as there is on the road. In those four years the only maintenance I've had to do is routine oil changes. Over the past year, my tires finally started to wear out, but only after I'd had screws and/or nails removed from each one on more than one occasion. It rides smoothly and comfortably, with the built-in Sirius/XM radio accompanying me on road trips from Little Rock, AR to Abilene, Texas to South Padre Island, back to Abilene then to Norman, OK and back to Little Rock. The Forte may not have a... (more)
Story
My friend and I took my 2011 Kia Forte exploring the day after I moved to Little Rock. It was only the second time I'd ever even been to Little Rock, so I was unfamiliar with the terrain. We ended up on a tightly-wound, mountainous road in the backwoods. Facing a seemingly impossible turn, my friend admitted his hesitation at my car's ability to negotiate the tight turn, much less the huge dip... (more)
Pros
Great highway and city gas mileage. Reliability, low-maintenance. 10-Year, 100,000 mile warranty. Built-in Sirius/XM Radio (subscription sold separately) Excellent turn radius Smooth ride, comfortable seating. Ample trunk storage. Automatic windows, locks and keyless entry comes standard.
Cons
If I was forced to say something negative about this vehicle, the only thing I can think of is that it doesn't have running day lights. I suppose in an ideal world, it would be a little sportier.
