This is my first time owning a Kia and I have to say I am impressed. I'd always thought of Kia as a "low end" brand and thought I'd be a Honda owner for life but this car has really changed my mind. I feel like I got a great car for the value and it has so many more features and options that all came standard. The interior feels high-end and has held up well almost 2 years into ownership. Up to this point we have not had to have to take it in for service, aside from standard maintenance. The ride is very smooth and quiet...Little to no outside noise. Kia seemed to put a lot of thought into little details such as lights with an on/off switch for the vanity mirrors and retractable price act screens that cover the back windows. Story
Our first road trip to Las Vegas in the car was fun. One of the hotel valets told us he had been considering buying a car like ours and after driving it he decided he liked it enough to buy one himself.
Pros
Feels very high-end and offers amazing features for the price point. I like that it rides so smooth and I can tell it will hold up over time. Good gas mileage as well. There is also an "Active Eco" feature that you can turn on to help conserve gas if you're driving in stop and go traffic.
Cons
The only negative thing is it seems to hesitate a bit when making quick accelerations, such as pulling out of a parking lot.

Our 2014 Kia Sorrento has served us well over the last year. We have three children ages 9, 7 and 8 months. They fit quite well in the back seat with our infant car seat positioned in the middle. The anchors to hook up our car seat base are easily accessible and we don't have to waste time fishing around to find them. Great gas mileage compared to our other car, so that was a huge plus for us! We really like the EcoBoost feature and use it when traveling long distances on the highway. Although the Sorento is a smaller SUV, it doesn't have that "toy car" feel to it. When driving, we feel safe and secure. Story
We love in a semi-large city and the Kia Sorrento seems to be a huge hit in our area. The other day I was turning in an intersection and there was another Sorrento opposite me, same model, year and color. As I turned past him he honked and yelled "Hey, nice car!" We both have great taste!
Pros
The gas mileage is a huge plus for us and probably our most favorite thing about this car! Other features we love are the backup camera and sensors, and the built in Sirius radio. The interior fabric is sturdy and durable, and has withstood many spills and crumbs from our children yet still looks brand new after a light cleaning. Aside from the way our car runs and its features, it just looks great! The entire car from front to back, inside and out, is very stylish and appealing to the eye and we get many compliments on it.
Cons
The only con that comes to mind is size. We are able to fit comfortably in it and haul everything we need on a daily basis but if there was a larger version of this car we would definitely look in to it.
