My Lexus ES 300 was my very first car purchase. It was a perfect size sedan. The quality of the car was good for how many miles that it had on it. It was clean still and took me front point A to B just fine.
Story
I had a lot of fun of this car. My favorite memory was picking up my long-time best friend from the airport who I hadn't seen in years, and now he's my fiancŽ and we have a beautiful kid together. We took our first date in that car as well on Valentine's Day to Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was perfect for small road trips.
Pros
My favorite features was the easy steering and small size. It was black in color, which I liked too and leather seats so it was easier to clean.
Cons
Negatives about this vehicle when I bought it was the high car mileage, and since it's a Lexus, they are generally more expensive for parts. The transmission did go out and would have cost me an arm and a leg to fix it.

This was my first car and it has lasted me six years now, hoping to keep it two more years and, according to my mechanic, it can make it to 20 years easily. It has 200,000+ miles and has required minimal maintenance, even with 600 mile round trips occurring every 3 months for 4 years during college. This year was the first time I ever put more than $500 into a repair. Previous owners reported the same thing. It is such a strong, sturdy car and when you buy an older Lexus you don't pay a crazy amount for them.
Story
I went to collage in this car and it took me through all 4 years-too many memories to count!
Pros
The car has been sturdy and can take a lot of miles. It isn't too big, you don't feel like you're driving a boat. It has required minimal maintenance for its age.
Cons
The car is old, so many of the cons are directly related. The CD player is a 6 CD changer and located in the glove compartment so I had to buy a new stereo system for my own sanity. The leather interior has held up well but there's a couple places where you might place your elbow on the console that have worn down. I also no longer have a keyless controller because it broke down a few years ago and the replacement cost was insane because of age.
