2001 Lexus GS 300 - I love my Lexus!

I love this car. The interior is all leather, and it is in great condition and very luxurious. It's a very smooth ride. Even though it's an older model, the body design is still pretty sleek (unlike some cars from the early 2000s). It also has a good sound system and high quality speakers with good bass. The trunk is big enough to accommodate lots of stuff, whether it's full of grocery bags or luggage for road trips. Another feature that I didn't realize I'd appreciate so much is the headlights. I take trips to the country sometimes, and driving windy roads at night can be dangerous if your vehicle's headlights aren't very good. This car, however, has really bright headlights that light up the road quite a bit. I feel safer because of that!
Story
I took a road trip with it to see my boyfriend a while ago! I drove across the state and it was very fun. As mentioned earlier, it has a surprising amount of space in the trunk, so it's actually a great travel car!
Pros
I love the leather interior. I also really like that it's 6 cylinders. My last car was only 4, so it's nice having a car with some get up. It has a great turn radius as well, which is very convenient. I also really enjoy having a sunroof!
Cons
The one con is that it requires premium fuel. Having to pay 60 extra cents per gallon really adds up!

2001 Lexus GS 300 - Expensive to maintain

This car has performed up to its standards as an aged luxury vehicle with +300k miles on the chassis. Though the maintenance has been expensive for the car, the ride has held up through the years and is still reliable. Various components have failed due to the high mileage, including the locks and the stereo speakers. However, the main components (transmission, engine, brakes) have held up nicely through the years. As a hockey player, the large trunk space more than accommodates my gear and luggage for travel.
Story
This car was driven from SoCal to Central California and treated as an off-road vehicle for a short period of time. It held up much better than I thought it would and let us catch the sunset.
Pros
- The ride is smooth and comfortable - The safety features are well in place and it is made to feel luxurious - The engine is a strong straight-6 - The design is ageless
Cons
- Maintenance for the car is absurdly expensive - The leather on the seats and center console are cheaply made, peeling has occurred
