This is a great luxury vehicle at an affordable price that is highly reliable with moderate maintenance costs. The car has some level of prestige. The quality for the price is average. The interior dash board seems a little cheap to me as if it was made of some type of plastic or sponge, etc.
Pros
Some of the positive things about the car is that because it is Japanese, it is highly reliable with very little maintenance required. The gas mileage is average for a luxury vehicle. The car has navigation, Bluetooth, heated and cooled seats, rear window shade and upgraded sound system. Plus, the cost of maintenance is nominal given the type of car.
Cons
For the same price, other cars look better. For example, if I had to choose between a new Lexus GS or the equivalent Mercedes (probably an E - Class), I prefer the Mercedes. In a nut shell, for the price paid, the car does not look as luxurious as maybe it should. In addition, the power is not very strong nor is the car as responsive as a German car. The car sometime feels like being in a boat because of the looser suspension as compared to a German car for example. When the car is serviced and the battery gets disconnected, sometimes some of the windows do not work. There is also a tea... (more)

The GS 300 is a bigger version of the LS 350 so there is more interior room and sits a family of 5 comfortably. It has an all leather interior, heated and cooled seats in the front, and headrests throughout. Although it is a sedan, the body of the car is sleek and stylish. The car offers keyless entry, which I have found so convenient - I wouldn't buy a car without it.
Story
It's a lot of fun to drive to the beach with the windows down and sunroof open.
Pros
The car has good pickup and cruises at high speeds smoothly and comfortably. The car offers a rear-view camera for backing up safely. There is an upgraded sound system with extra speakers and a 6-disk CD player. For a car this size, the gas mileage is good. This is a comfortable car to drive and for passengers to ride in. There is plenty of leg room in the back seat.
Cons
The interior lights are not adequate to see at night time. The air conditioning drain is not accessible without removing half of the undercarriage, making a simple clean out an expensive job. The GPS system is not very user-friendly - it can be awkward and confusing. Sirius satellite is available, but the antenna is not factory installed. Maintenance is higher than other vehicles.
