One of the most practical yet sporty luxury car I've owned
I purchased this car new and have now owned it for 8 years with over 110k miles put on it. Never caused me any headache or heart ache especially for a car I've run over 110k miles. Only out of the ordinary repair that had to be done was change a dying water pump but that is still considered regular for a car at this mileage. To top off the reliability, the car looks great compared to other similar vehicles with luxury interiors that Lexus has become known for. The center backseat opens up from the inside so you can access the trunk so my large Husky was able to use it like a dog house on a long road trip. I couldn't have made a better purchase on a vehicle I own!

Unreliable Lexus IS250
The vehicle I have is a 2007 Lexus IS 250. I had a 2001 Lexus IS 300 prior to this car. I loved the old IS 300. I had it for 7 years and never had any problems. On the other hand, the IS 250 is horrible. I would never buy a Lexus again because of the experience I had with the Is 250. I bought the car used in 2010, since then, I went through two batteries. After I got a second battery replace with the warranty, the car make loud rattling sounds under the hood. It only happened twice and Lexus was not able to tell me what happened. They said everything was fine. The car is veer bumpy, it feels like I'm riding a go-kart. I recently spent over $2400 to have all four struts and shocks replace. I would think it would drive like new, but the car is still bumpy and makes squeaky sounds when I go over bumps. I took it back to Lexus and they said that is not caused by the shocks and struts. They said it is due to the parts in the car being old and they make sounds. The garage door opener does not work and Lexus said there is nothing wrong with it. I recently took the car in so the dealership can clean out the carbon buildup in the car (under warranty) got the car back and it still feel the same. Overall, I'm very disappointed with Lexus.
