Prior to the Lexus IS 250, I had owned an 2004 Acura TL as well as an entry level luxury car. Although I loved the TL, the Lexus is great and has many features and amenities which makes driving it a pleasure. It has all the typical features such as leather seats, heated side mirrors, anti-glare review mirror, bluetooth phone connection, and power everything, but also has many special features that ice the cake. There are regular reminders built-in the dashboard that reminds the driver of tire pressure, oil maintenance, windshield wiper fluids levels, and whether the trunk is open. All the added features make it easier to maintain a car as they are less things to think and worry about.
Story
Had many great times with friends and heading out to events and activities. It's a joy to be in the car just as a passenger as well as it is luxurious and comfortable.
Pros
Some other favorite features of the car which I enjoy are the all wheel drive and built-in navigational system. The car feels heavier and solidly built due to the AWD and help me with having more traction during the winter in the snow or if there are slippery spots in the rain and in general. The navigation is hugely important as I rely on it to get anywhere and everywhere now. The sound system is great and the car controls tight. I like to zip around in it as it feel good to drive. There are also color zones that change on the speedometer while driving. It stays blue up to 80MPH, then tur... (more)
Cons
A few cons that come with owning the Lexus IS 250 are the maintenance. It cast more for gas and oil changes due to requiring premium fuel. The car is has nearly 100,000 miles on it now and there aren't any issues that I've experienced except for one. There was an issue with a coolant leak which made the heating system not work. It required the water pump to be replaced which cost quite a bit, but that has been the only issue so far since I've owned it. Also, the car is small and has less space. The rear seat have barely any legroom for passengers. I call it my 4-door coupe.

This was my first vehicle when I got my learners permit. It was purchased new and has held up very well. I have the 2 wheel driver version with the colored trim (not the black). I have added 20 inch rims and a custom grill to make it more unique, although the sunburst orange color does that enough. I have cloth seats and have found that they are very stain resistant and still look new after 6 years of regular driving. I love the way that the car handles and feels when I'm driving it. I like the style of the car as well as how convenient it is to control the radio, air, etc. while driving. I have had the chance to trade it in for something new and have chosen to continue driving it because I haven't been able to find anything that I prefer to drive that is also as functional as the car.... Pros
My favorite features are the style and the way that the car handles more like a truck but is small like an SUV. It also has appropriate airbags and I feel safe driving the car.
Cons
The gas mileage isn't as great as it could be and the car isn't all that sturdy.
