I bought this car because I wanted a change. I purchased a used 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman S. Initially I loved the car. It had great features (heated leather seats, great radio, controls on the steering wheel etc). It drove well. The turbo was easy to get used to and I loved the extra punch it provided on the highway.
Pros
This is a fun car. I would find myself taking the "long way" just to drive a little longer. It has great interior lighting that makes you feel like you are in a spaceship.
Cons
The major problems with this car were with the service. In a matter of months I spent more on repairs than I did on my payments. What is unfortunate about owning a Mini is that you are extremely limited in your service options. A regular mechanic is no going to have the necessary computer to read the output codes when there is a "service engine soon" code. This means $120 at the Mini service center. While the service center is amazingly clean and furnished with great amenities it is also a monopoly. Each time I brought the car in for service they fixed the issue but I seemed to leave the... The headlight trim are the same for both the R60 Countryman and R61 Paceman. The Tail light trim is model specific. The Headlight pair will fit headlights with or without the headlight washers. The headlight washers are located 'within' the trim so the same trim is used for headlights with or without washers. Select appropriately. Simply pop off the old chrome trim rings and click these into place. If you need to replace the 'clips' that secures the headlight trim ring,
Story
When I rode my car first time, I accidentally I broke a leg. It was not funny. My teenage daughter and me were in the car.
Pros
With striking exterior lines, premium technology and optional ALL4 all-wheel drive, the Paceman looks sharp and handles even sharper. It’s motoring design with bite for those who savor a life well lived.it take a smooth ride. Good handling good look.
Cons
Style-wise, the Mini Paceman is revolutionary – yet remains unmistakably Mini. The lengthened doors, strong shoulder line, slanting coupé-style roof and horizontal rear lights are the epitome of sporty elegance. And with optional ALL4 all-wheel drive, the Mini Paceman is at home on both city streets and forest tracks.
