It's decent considering the age
This car is extremely comfortable to drive and considering the age runs pretty well. You do have to manually shift from first to second and then into drive to get into third even though it's an automatic, but you get used to it. You can't open the driver door from the inside and there's a large hole on the dashboard, but considering the age and that when I bought it, it had been sitting in the sun for years it runs very well. The gas mileage isn't very good but the ride is very smooth and the car itself looks slightly classy so it's enjoyable to show off riding around town.

Ugly uncomfortable car
After my first car bit the dust, I needed to find a replacement pretty rapidly. The car that fit into my budget at that time was a 1992 powder blue Mercury Topaz (Ford Tempo). While it was a functional car, it was not a pleasant one. The driver's seat was too cramped even at it's furthest settings and the backseat was also too cramped. The speedometer topped out at 85 MPH, making it look like you were ready to bury the needle at normal interstate speeds. Mechanically the car was sound enough, but it was a very low performance car and a very boring one at that.

Dependable small car
Overall, it's a great car. It's had very few problems and requires only basic maintenance to keep running. It's twenty years old and still runs like a beast.
