Inconvenient but Fun!
I enjoyed driving this car on a daily basis. It gave me the feeling of being in control of the car. The way the vehicle is setup made me feel like I was able to feel the road through the steering wheel. It was a blast driving this through canyons and curvy roads. However, when it came to everyday driving around town it became a hassle at times. When the A/C was on, the car would have a sudden loss of power which you could feel in the acceleration. There was very little trunk space so you couldn't fit very much. The power was on the low side but overall it was a fun car to drive. I would probably get another Miata in the future but not a 99-00 as the coil packs were known to go out which mine did and as a result, cost me a lot of money to replace the catalytic converter.

Extended stay at shop
It was my first car, I bought it from my sister who had gotten it from her dad. It was only a two door so getting in and out could be a pain also when loading and unloading stuff you buy it could be a huge hassle. The back would only open and lock half the time even though they could not find anything wrong with it. It was a gas guzzler! It could easily use 50-75 dollars a week in gas and in this economy that's not a great thing. When I got the car the mechanic said everything was okay but within 3 months I had to replace the heating coil, the battery, the alternator, had to get a tune up... No matter what the list just seemed to keep going. After 3 months the transmission started to slip and it just seemed like it was costing more to keep it running then it was worth. There was something wrong with it every week and it was unreliable I never knew what would happen when I got in that car.

Powerful Vehicle, Awful Gas Mileage
About a year ago or so I purchased my first SUV. I was in desperate need of a vehicle at the time, so I bought the first working car that I could find at an affordable price. For me, this was a 1992 Mazda Navajo. I liked the fact that it has a lot of space for carrying cargo, and offers a lot of power, but there are also several downsides to the vehicle including the fact that the gas mileage on it as absolutely dreadful. Further, this particular Mazda Navajo has a bad tendency to break down and lots of things on it are really expensive to fix.
