2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse - Great car, really fun to drive, but still practical

I got this car about three years ago with about 100,000 miles on it. I love the sunset orange color on it and the sun roof. It would not be practical with kids but is great for my husband and I. While it's only a two door, it's not unreasonable to fit two people in the back. It has worked really well for us. When I got it initially, we had to change the clutch and then learned a lot of typically easy fixes are difficult. My husband has been able to fix most things himself, but it can take a while. It's all fairly basic repairs such as clutch, starter, sensors, and so forth. But even changing the headlights becomes a process to get into it. I also dislike the need for premium gas and special oil, but that's to be expected with a sports car. It can also be hard to physically get in and o... (more)
Story
When street racing last year, I went up against some far more expensive cars and done really well. I was able to go faster than the newer Mustangs, and I kept up with a lot of the Camaros. It's also helpful that it does well in a lot of various terrains here in Colorado. I've made it through gravel and small rocks, but it still sticks well to the street.
Pros
I love how it is a reasonable car to drive to work but also fun and pretty fast. It has lasted us a long time with minimal issues. It is set up to put a decent stereo and speakers in it, and since it's smaller, the sound and bass is pretty great. It handles really well on road and gravel too! Being a V4, it's better on gas than other sports cars as well.
Cons
I greatly dislike having to use premium gas, and the oil changes are expensive. It is also difficult to do repairs on your own if you only know basic mechanics. The stock paint has also peeled off very badly and needs a new paint job, but I suppose that's to be expected.

First, the car drives great. It handles well, it stops well, and it accelerates well. It's just perfect in that regard. The upgraded package I got came with a great Rockford Fosgate audio system that is flawless. It gets great mileage when compared to cars with almost 300 horsepower and is a fraction of the price. The hatchback trunk and fold down seats allow for fairly safe transportation of 12-foot pieces of wood. It even came with an alarm that lowers insurance costs. The only downside to the vehicle, which is my favorite vehicle I have ever owned, is the small back seats. They are pretty cramped for most people.
Story
Drove down a highway in Palm Beach County many times with the sunroof open just enjoying the views.
Pros
The acceleration and handling make it fun to get up to the speed limit. The 29 hwy mileage makes it twice as good as the gas guzzlers most people had in the early 2000s. The audio is also one of the top features. The sunroof (more of a moon roof) is also a really nice touch for the none convertible version. Also the trip tonic "cruise n USA" arcade-style shifting is just pure fun. It's got a stylish moon-football design that all the other cars seem to wish they could achieve.
Cons
Truly, only the backseat is a full negative. The speaker took up some trunk space but never an issue, and it was made sturdy enough to handle lots of wear and tear.
