2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse - Classy and reliable.
The motor is strong. It's also manufactured in Illinois. Believe it or not, I can put the back seats down and haul all my work equipment if I want. It also comes with tie downs in the back interior so I can tie the hatch down if necessary. Hey, there are times a girl needs a truck and this car has done it all for me. I haven't had any problems with this car at all and have owned it since 44,000 miles. Although I do try to keep the miles off of it, its used daily and appreciated.
Story
I drove through an unpredictable snow storm. The snow was higher than the bottom of the car but I had no choice but to keep going, following the 2 tire tracks in front of me. This car is a gem. Also, when I purchased it, I was actually truck shopping so the entire experience was quite fun. I insisted I didn't want it and told the salesman my budget for a truck which much less. Pros
The engine and transmission are strong. I haven't had any mechanical problems at all so maintenance has been extremely easy. This car is stylish yet still get a job done all while looking great. I've traveled distances in comfort and gas mileage is a plus.
Cons
The firewall could use additional insulation. It does leak some heat into the interior floorboards but I'm sure I can check into this.
2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse - Reliable and Fun
I must admit, I'm not the best at performing scheduled maintenance on my vehicles. However, my Eclipse has been ore than forgiving and had never once had a mechanical issue. It's been reliable and has held up over the years and throughout nearly 120k miles.
Story
I live in Colorado so it's always fun driving my car in the winding mountain roads. It hugs all the turns!
Pros
I've never owned another car more reliable than this one. It's sporty and fun, I also get over 800 miles to a tank of gas.
Cons
The only negative thing about this car is it's performance in the snow. I do have a modified version and also racing wheels, so this might have contributed to the issues I've had in snow.
