We own the 2009 Nissan Titan, and this truck is awesome. The overall handling and stability of this truck is outstanding. The truck handles well in all weather situations, of course, the challenge with the light back on a truck is always inevitable, but this truck has power and control that even as a woman I can handle this truck, no problem. A definite "yes" in the purchase category for this truck! We have had a Nissan Altima with over 150,000+ miles on it and very little repair, and feel the same will happen with the Titan, already over 100,000 miles on it, and nothing of anything major to repair, keeping in mind we maintain oil checks, and the normal follow up for our cars. Still purrs like a kitten!
Story
Nothing like a "snow day" to test out a truck. We had a snow storm that was just about 3' worth of snow in a couple of days...well, that makes just about every truck owner on our block "show off" their truck talent, i.e. who has the best truck....Our neighbors are Chevy owners, my neighbor across the street, a Ford guy....so we all fired up our trucks and began helping other neighbors pull the... Pros
The cab is very roomy and all of the on dash/steering wheel dial and controls are very easy to use. I am tall and this truck has plenty of room. This truck has power! While the V8 is a strong engine, it really doesn't feel like it is that big of an engine. The engine sound is quiet in the cab, you can easily hold a conversation with everyone in the truck and not have any issues. I love the flip up console in the middle to sit three across if necessary. The slow open tailgate is great, no more slamming open when your hands are full and you can't control the opening of it. We live in Colorad... (more)
Cons
The back door that opens really doesn't have a "slow-stop" opening, meaning when you open the door it will continue to swing all the way to the bed part of the truck and I'm always nervous it is going to slam against it...which it doesn't but a nice "slow" open would be a better adjustment for the back door. The back seat legroom is a bit small, but I am close to the 6' range, so that makes most cars/trucks a challenge. We did replace the stock stereo system with a new one so that we could have one with a USB port for the phones. This truck is long....so it definitely makes parking it a... (more)
