Being a 2003 model, buying this vehicle at only 78,000 miles was a miraculous deal. The RS model of this vehicle has a unique "bug-eye" headlight system, which really makes it stand out. I liked that the previous owner had put a custom exhaust kit on it and was impressed at how well the interior and under the hood looked. The previous owner had all repairs and maintenance documented, which is important to me. The tires when I purchased it, were only at minimal wear. The all-black exterior of the Subaru as well as the custom blackening of the wheel rims really makes it look sleek and stylish. The interior, although small, is still a comfy and pleasurable ride with no cosmetic imperfections inside of the vehicle.
Story
Subaru vehicles are all-wheel drive, so my fun story includes the last big snow my area had. The reliable all-wheel drive that the Subaru provides gave a lot of fun transporting other friends around that didn't have this feature to help them in inclement weather.
Pros
Some of my favorite features of this vehicle include the gas mileage, reliability, all-wheel-drive system, the type of engine (boxer), and the unique design that it has. A lot of people have stopped and asked me about where I found the car, and it has received a lot of praise. I love the sound that the engine and custom exhaust system brings—a robust but smooth sound that receives a lot of compliments. I have been a Subaru owner my whole life, so I know how to troubleshoot any problems. This is always a plus for me and is why I stay in the "Subaru family."
Cons
The only negative thing that I can say about this vehicle is the lack of space, and the wire short on the driver side door that constantly alerts with a beeping signal that the door is open, even when it is closed.

The 03 WRX is a great vehicle. While it is compact, it is roomy enough for four to ride in comfortably. The turbocharged boxer engine makes it a thrill to drive, yet it also has decent gas mileage. It has plenty of speed for the highway. While a bit loud at highway speeds the car is comfortable to ride in. With so many other drivers in large vehicles in the United States, your vision will often be blocked by these larger vehicles.
Story
One time I was driving down the freeway and had a BMW M5 want to race me. While the BMW did come out ahead, the WRX did hold its own.
Pros
The car has plenty of room for a compact car. Would be great for a family of three. The turbocharged engine has a lot of pep and gets the car up to speed quickly. The trunk and rear seat has plenty of room for groceries. With the armrest down in the back seat and the trunk hatch open, it is possible to fit a few eight foot long pieces of lumber in the car.
Cons
When the car breaks down, it can be pricey to fix. I had a problem with the valve cover gaskets leaking oil onto the exhaust and making smoke. This is a tricky problem that took my mechanic a few tries to fix. Since the car is small and low to the ground, large SUVs and trucks will block your view.
