Being a 2003 model, buying this vehicle at only 78,000 miles was a miraculous deal. The RS model of this vehicle has a unique "bug-eye" headlight system, which really makes it stand out. I liked that the previous owner had put a custom exhaust kit on it and was impressed at how well the interior and under the hood looked. The previous owner had all repairs and maintenance documented, which is important to me. The tires when I purchased it, were only at minimal wear. The all-black exterior of the Subaru as well as the custom blackening of the wheel rims really makes it look sleek and stylish. The interior, although small, is still a comfy and pleasurable ride with no cosmetic imperfections inside of the vehicle.
Story
Subaru vehicles are all-wheel drive, so my fun story includes the last big snow my area had. The reliable all-wheel drive that the Subaru provides gave a lot of fun transporting other friends around that didn't have this feature to help them in inclement weather.
Pros
Some of my favorite features of this vehicle include the gas mileage, reliability, all-wheel-drive system, the type of engine (boxer), and the unique design that it has. A lot of people have stopped and asked me about where I found the car, and it has received a lot of praise. I love the sound that the engine and custom exhaust system brings—a robust but smooth sound that receives a lot of compliments. I have been a Subaru owner my whole life, so I know how to troubleshoot any problems. This is always a plus for me and is why I stay in the "Subaru family."
Cons
The only negative thing that I can say about this vehicle is the lack of space, and the wire short on the driver side door that constantly alerts with a beeping signal that the door is open, even when it is closed.

2003 Subaru Impreza - Love it!

I love the Subaru Impreza WRX. This is easily the best car I have owned and driven. My car is 14 years old and still running well with minimal work done throughout the years. The way the car handles is amazing, still after all this time, takes turns nicely and still has a little kick to it and can take off when I need her to. I'd say the only complaint I have is the paint. My car has paint chipping off the hood of the car. It's on the scoop and surrounding area. I'm not sure if it gets really hot under there with the turbo and this could be the reason.
Story
One memorable story I can share is driving my car with my friends, music on loud and just cruising, not a care in the world. We were all single and didn't have to answer to anyone. Such a long time ago and so much has changed but I love that memory and others like it.
Pros
I love how well the car handles from taking turns to stopping quickly. Shoot, even taking it off roading!
Cons
The con is the paint. It has chipped off the hood, and I'm not sure if it is poor quality paint or if it is just something you have to accept in order to take advantage of the turbo. Another con is the oil filter. It's just a nuance because it's the kind of filter that is sideways instead of top to bottom. If you change the oil yourself, it gets all over your hands as you are unscrewing it.
