The Subaru Impreza is redesigned and very sporty. I love how the asymmetrical awd system handles. It drives effortlessly through windy roads. My Impreza has the eyesight safety system. I love all the features. They include emergency braking, lane departure warning with steering correction, etc... I love how the system beeps at you when a vehicle ahead of you has moved at a stop light. It has a sporty wing on the trunk adding to the visual appeal. The infotainment system has been upgraded; however, it has several issues with it. Sometimes the radio system mutes itself and does not come back on for awhile. The system will freeze and you can not change your radio stations for anything. Android auto sometimes doesn't work either. When on Bluetooth calling, the volume is very low, and peopl... (more)
Story
I loved having my son drive the Impreza with eyesight for the first time. Having the vehicle steer itself.
Pros
I love the eyesight system. I love the adaptive cruise control; it is works effortlessly, although a little scary at first. I love how the vehicle beeps at me when the vehicle ahead of me has moved. It is a nice feature especially when you have children talking to you. The cloth seats are very easy to clean. I love how clear the back-up camera is. It is clearer than most of the competition. I love how the blind spot system is on the inside of the side view mirrors. It is very bright and grabs your attention. I love the awd system and how the Impreza handles. The trunk is very spacious and ... (more)
Cons
The factory headlights are not very bright. I don't like the fact that it does not have auto door locks. I wish you could lay day the back seats from the trunk of the car. It's inconvenient to have to open the back door to lay down the seats. I do not like the fact that Android auto has issues and periodically will not connect. I do not like the new infotainment system; it freezes and shutting the car off does not fix it. The system will randomly forget you programmed radio stations. I have to reset my system probably once a month. Sometimes you can not adjust the volume because it freezes... (more)

The 2016 Subaru Impreza hatchback is a fantastic car by and large. The vehicle's handling is excellent and the acceleration is responsive and capable of maneuvering out of tight spaces. I have found the braking to be reliable, even in short stop situations. As a result of this superlative driving experience I feel confident and secure while driving. Despite the overall excellence of the vehicle however, there have been several issues since I first entered into my lease. Primary among these is the fact that in the five months of owning the car, there have been four safety recalls which have necessitated that I take the vehicle to the dealership for repair or inspection. Additionally, the entertainment system has had numerous issues including a failure to connect to Bluetooth enabled dev... (more)
Story
On one occasion while parking at work I found myself in a row of 5 identical vehicles. I thought this was amusing and that it spoke to the popularity of Subaru vehicles in my area.
Pros
The handling, braking, safety features, acceleration, fuel economy, and overall comfort of the vehicle's ride are all excellent and are primary selling points for 2016 Subaru Impreza hatchback.
Cons
The largest problems with this vehicle lie in its entertainment system which has had a number of issues including a failure to connect to Bluetooth enabled devices, a failure to save preset radio stations, regular failure to connect to Android Auto enabled devices, and on multiple occasions the touchscreen display in the vehicle has gotten stuck on a still picture of the last image seen by the vehicle's back-up camera.
