My 2009 Subaru Impreza Hatchback is the best car I've ever owned. Before buying this car, I owned a Suzuki Reno hatchback, an was in a very serious car accident. The car was totaled and I was seriously injured. When looking for a new car, I was very concerned about stability and safety. I found that and more in my Subaru. The car is solidly built. It is a small car, but I never feel outside wind or tremors from cars driving by, as I did with the Reno. I've never had an accident with my Subaru, but the crash test ratings made me feel extremely safe when buying it. I have about 62,000 miles on my car now, and it still drives just like the day I bought it.
Story
One very snowy winter evening, I received a late night phone call from a friend that had just gotten her brand new Lexus stuck in an ice ditch. I drove out to meet her, and, with my Subaru, gently nudged her out of the ditch without getting stuck myself. This car is awesome in the snow.
Pros
The body style of the Subaru Impreza Hatchback is very curvy, almost feminine. Although it is a fairly small car, the interior is very roomy. I have moved an entire apartment in this car with only a few trips. When I'm transporting my friends, the car doesn't feel crowded or cramped. It also has a very sporty, stylish feel that really suits my personality.
Cons
The only thing I would consider to be negative about this car is the cost of the tires for the vehicle. This car is considered a sports car by Subaru,, so the tires are sports quality, and they are expensive.

I have really enjoyed owning my first Subaru! I even ordered and placed “Badges of Ownership” from Subaru and placed them on the back of my car.
Story
In the parking lot of a grocery store, another customer parked his car alarmingly close to mine, to where I was nearly unable to exit my vehicle! I was understandably irritated, and the guy was staring at my car while doing so! When I did manage to get out, he explained that he really liked the body style of my car and asked the make, model, and year.
Pros
My Subaru Impreza has plenty of space in the trunk to haul just about anything. I used it to move many of my personal items to my new home, including a 40 inch television. The body design makes my Impreza appear sportier than it really is. As a four-door sedan, it is functional, yet attractive. The gas mileage is low, and it handles well in snow and ice, without snow tires! I enjoy using the “Sport” gear when entering the interstate, or when merging into oncoming traffic that is moving rapidly. Its four speeds feel like six!
Cons
The cons that I would note are that there is little space to the right of the gas pedal. When travelling significant distances, my right foot rubs against the wall to the right of the gas pedal and is uncomfortable. I would also like to have a tire inflation gauge that indicates which tire(s) are low on air as well as the current PSI of all tires, and the appropriate PSI for each.
