2012 Toyota Corolla Owner Ratings & Reviews

2012 Toyota Corolla - Reliable and easy to drive
My Corolla is, overall, a wonderful car and I'm very satisfied with my decision to purchase it. I've owned the vehicle for just over a year and have had absolutely no issues. It's easy to maintain and beyond the cost of purchasing, has been very friendly on my wallet. Driving is a breeze and the car handles fairly well. I also LOVE the particular shade of red that I selected since it's bright and cheery and I don't see the same shade on the road very often. While it's definitely not one of those "sexy" luxury cars, it more than gets the job done and I don't have to stress about future repairs as much since Toyota parts seem to be a bit less expensive.
Story
My 60 lb. Golden doodle fits perfectly in the backseat and usually nestles his head on the arm rest in between the two front seats. He loves this car the most out of any he has taken a ride in!
Pros
My favorite aspects of this vehicle are its fuel economy and simplicity. There aren't a lot of bells and whistles that need to be learned and it's one of those cars that almost anyone can get behind the wheel and navigate with ease. It also has the features that I, personally, care about like Bluetooth capabilities, power locks and windows, automatic transmission, and USB plug in (handy for charging that iPhone that's battery seems to die every few hours).
Cons
I don't have many complaints. The only thing I can say is that, being a nervous driver, at times I feel like the car isn't as "solid" as other cars that I've owned. For instance, when the wind is blowing really hard or I pass a large semi, my Corolla is more apt to sway on the road. It also has trouble shifting into gear sometimes on the freeway when I'm trying to speed up.
2012 Toyota Corolla - A good economy car
The Toyota Corolla, like the Toyota Camry's I previously owned, is an extremely reliable car. If I take care of it by getting regular inspections and changing the oil every 5,000 miles, the car will take care of me. The car isn't flashy but it gets the job done. It gets great gas mileage, makes me feel safe, and has had no major mechanical issues.
Story
We took a great road trip in the car to see a college football game. The car got us there with ease and had plenty of room to transport all four people.
Pros
The car drives smooth, gets great gas mileage, and never breaks down. The paint hasn't chipped at all so the body still looks great. When I do have a mechanical issue, many mechanics are familiar with Corollas so they know just how to fix them. Additionally, it is easy for mechanics to locate spare parts for Corollas.
The car gives me peace of mind because I have never had big problems with any Toyota. They tend to run for decades without issue.
The car is compact, but not too compact. I can fit into most tight parking places and easily make my way around in parking garages.
Cons
There are no major cons with the Corolla. It's a simple car so you can't go 0 to 60 in three seconds, and you won't look like the coolest guy on the road. No one is going to have their jaw drop when they see it.
