Only the awesome vehicles are named, and my Corolla is referred to as Lola. She's incredibly reliable and, with Toyota Care included for the first two years (free), it's a relief to know that my vehicle will continue to run without issues. I get about 33 miles to the gallon which is impressive even if gas prices are currently low. Though, there is some warning - don't get to use to having a back up camera, it will become extremely awkward the first time you back up not using one. The side mirrors fold in and include a defrost option which I know may seem unnecessary, however the first time you use the defrost on a cold winter day, you wonder how you drove without it. It's compact and can make tight turns when needed. It has power and has no problem getting up to speed when getting on t... (more)
Story
The first time I took my cat to our new apartment. I had only had Lola for a few months at this point. It was his first time traveling in Lola, he had travel a few times in my other vehicle, however he wasn't a fan. Maybe he could pick up on my excitement, maybe the vehicle just smelled different, more relaxing to him. However, he was "talking" the whole time while he explored the vehicle, bef... (more)
Pros
As winter approaches, I got to say the defrost feature on the side mirrors is one of my favorite. It doesn't take long to get the morning fog off the mirrors, as well as the side windows. The backup camera is nice, too. I like to back up when parking, and with the camera I can make sure I'm not hitting anyone as well as confirm if I'm straight without opening my door. The back seats fold down; not only has it helped during the spring/summer when transporting my board back and forth from the lake, it also helps when moving.
Cons
Overall size of vehicle, only while in movement. There is a big difference in the amount of times I'm cut off between driving my Lola and driving my boyfriend's truck. People don't care, they assume you'll slow down and let them in even if there is no room. Back up camera is both a blessing and a curse. By getting used to having it, anytime I back up in a different vehicle I'm extremely nervous I'm going to hit something or be hit.

2016 Toyota Corolla - I love this car.

I bought this car, as my last car died on me. I wanted a car that was known to be reliable and that I could use for many years. I don't like to purchase cars over and over again, so I wanted something that could last. I chose this car first because of how affordable it was as a gently used car with only 4k miles on it. I loved the fact that it had a quiet engine and excellent mpg while commuting. The car is comfortable to drive around for extended periods of time. The car is able to go about 300 miles before it needs to be filled up. It's a smooth drive, and so far, after 12k miles put into it and two long-distance drives, the car has had no problems. I also like the features it comes with without any upgrades such as the radio UI being easy to use and the buttons used on the wheel tha... (more)
Story
A memorable experience I had with this car is gassing up right at the border of Canada after going to see the Women's World Cup. Once we hit Interstate 5 about ten minutes later, I was able to drive back to Oregon on one tank of gas. It was very satisfying to do it. I was, of course, almost out of gas once I got home, but I still had about 30 miles till empty when I got home, and I was only a ... (more)
Pros
The pros are the reliability of this car. It's meant to last, and the brand is known to not have many problems. For me this was a huge thing when looking to buy, as I had a really bad brand before this car that would also stop working on me when I needed it. The drive of this car is very smooth and quiet; it's not meant to go fast and be speeding. If you treat it like a commuter car/around town car, it'll work perfectly.
Cons
Back-up camera is always getting dirty or just not focusing. I don't know what is up with it, but friends and families cars that have back-up cameras don't have this problem like I do. Sometimes even cleaning the camera doesn't help, and it will stay out of focus. It also won't speed up super fast, it takes a moment for it to get to 60 miles if you are going from 0, so if you are getting on a highway, it can be a little dangerous if you are making a quick turn onto the highway and aren't gradually speeding up.
