The Toyota Sequoia is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. We stumbled upon this car when I was pregnant with my 3rd child and needed a roomier vehicle. I was intimidated by its size, but the Sequoia, like most Toyota vehicles, is very easy to drive. It is easy to maneuver, even in tight parking spots. It handles beautifully. The interior is comfortable and very roomy. It has the latch system, so installing car seats has been a snap. The back and middle row of seats roll up, which is great for travelling. Additionally, the back seats push forward, making more room in the trunk. We also have four wheel drive, which is amazing in winter when the roads are impassable. I love this car! The only downside is the gas mileage. However, with a big family, that's not something you can eas... (more)
Story
When everyone else is stuck at home because of snowy, icy roads, we have no trouble because of the 4 wheel drive.
Pros
Smooth ride, easy to drive, very comfortable, great for kids, tons of room for kids' stuff, 4 wheel drive
Cons
Gas mileage

I bought my car from a used car lot so I was very nervous on it's performance in the long run- but the Toyota Sequoia has totally blown me away.
Story
I didn't drive until I was 23. By that time I had two young children. When I bought my car, the first thing we did was drive to the park and play. That was such a monumental moment- my car literally brought ease and happiness to our family.
Pros
One of the first things I checked for was if it had car seat LATCH anchors. Many cars still did not have any in 2001. As a mom this was important. Also, there is enough room for car seats to rear face, an extremely important accommodation. The A/C is fantastic. Living in Florida, this is a must. Yes, cold A/C is key but if doesn't even reach third row, then there's no point. This car is spacious and drives smoothly for such an old engine.
Cons
The radio in my car did not last, but that is an easy replacement.
