The 2002 Volvo S60 T5 is a fantastic car for those who have the time, patience, and problem solving skills necessary for owning it. The model I owned had a manual transmission with a turbo. It had plenty of get up and go as well as decent fuel economy. Aesthetically, it was an attractive, minimal, European design. It looked to be a lot more luxurious than it really was, but I was all right with that. It had no major defects despite being 3rd hand, an impressive thing to consider. All in all, I recommend the car if you like euro autos. Watch out for the clutch - it's on a hair trigger and dumps easily.
Story
Cruising from San Antonio to Austin in high gear was pleasant - low maintenance and easy on the gas. The car had such a great sound system that I loved making that drive during college.
Pros
This car had a lot of power. When I shifted into gear and accelerated, I could really feel it move. Also, the interior was very spacious and well-designed. Some Belgian genius put a cup holder that springs out from the cd/media area which I really loved. I also liked how the battery was in the trunk. I found that it made it easier to access. Panels for bulb replacement were generally easy to access which was also appreciated.
Cons
This car handles like garbage. It's like a brick on wheels - it goes fast in one direction, but you won't be banking any steep turns in this thing. The clutch isn't bad, it's just very sensitive which can be irritating. Nothing like dumping the clutch on a busy intersection and having to turn the engine back over while people honk at you in fury. This has got to be one of the most expensive cars I have ever owned to repair. Radiators to light bulbs, everything is magnitudes pricier than a Japanese or American car of similar quality.

The Volvo s60 T5 AWD is a very solid car. From the moment you first drive it, the car feels heavy, in a safe, good way but nimble. The five-cylinder engine is responsive, quick and has a great exhaust note. The outside lines of the car are what attracted it to me. From the front grille to the rear end, the car is very stylish. The color options are pretty extensive. I went with ember brown which changed color depending on how the light hit it. When you sit in the very adjustable bucket leather seats, you feel at home. The front cabin is roomy with lots of buttons to play with including the infotainment system. The rear seats were a little tight, but two car seats fit. The trunk was simple and did the job. Back to the infotainment system. The Bluetooth in the Volvo had the best... (more)
Story
This car handles amazing in the snow. I really enjoyed taking my son to an empty parking lot and teaching him how to do controlled slides.
Pros
Style. Fun to drive. AWD. Comfort. Soft leather. Bluetooth.
Cons
Better MPG. Apple car play should be standard. Better OEM tires. Pricey.
